Can this be removed easily or is it extremely difficult to remove after it's been on for awhile?

Sorry for taking so long - this is my husband's gun and he's been out of town. He says it's a pretty simple piece and quite easy to remove even after it's been on for awhile.

Will this fit a s & w , m & p 22 compact?

I cannot give a for certain answer on this, however if the grip on the 22 compact is anything similar to the 9 shield then it definitely should. The fit may vary a bit but it fits on my Taurus G2 great also.
