It comes with the dots on it so you know where to put your fingers when you play. It has extra strings as well. I replaced 2. The only thing that didn't work great was the shoulder rest. It would not stay attached to the violin and then eventually broke. But I'm still using the violin for the past 6 months. It's great for beginners.

Beautiful violin I bought for my granddaughter who is 7. My son wanted to send it back due to the tuning. You have to watch the video as this is not a guitar. It’s tuned now sounds good and very happy with the purchase

We bought this as a graduation present for our son as he really wanted a violin. It showed up we had to hold on to it until he was done school. When he opened it it all looked so good. Until he went to work tighten the strings to play it. The keys won't tighten on it and it un Ravel's over and over again. Because it won't tighten you can't get any sound out of it. Went to return it as a defective item it says they won't do returns or defective warranty after 30 days. Wrote the company an email about it a week ago and no response. I would highly suggest looking else where before you waste you money on this product. Will never buy from this brand again. Sorry to my 11 year old who got this for working so hard to pass his classes for it.

I bought this as a started instrument for my kiddo. I also purchased the thingy to dampen the sound (thankfully) because this thing is loud... and needs tuning periodically. So far it has survived the weekly trips to school and music lessons and all of the strings are good. I also bought replacement strings because I figured those would be the first to go - my kid gets a little excited about turning the pegs and tuning the violin. All in all, I'm satisfied with this purchase: it's a good value for money.

My son would like to learn violin and I fully support him. I was searching for a good violin set at local musical stores, but didn't find anything we like. Then I was able to find this violin set from amazon.ca. The price is very reasonable. Amazon had very fast delivery and the violin set was intact when I received it at home. The whole set has everything we needed for my son to learn. It has a nice hollow wooden body with attractive colour. The case is very convenient for my son to carry it. I learned violin when I was a child. When I tried and played it, I love the sound of this violin. I would recommend this violin to other parents if their children want to learn to play violin.
