Repose Contur Inflatable Air Cushion for Recliner Chair - Prevention and Relief of Bed Sores, Pressure Ulcers - Manual Pump

I purchased this WONDERFUL COMPLETELY WORTH THE MONEY recliner cushion for my mom who had developed a pressure sore on a heel and in the mid-back/spine area. Mom spends most of her awake time in a lift chair/recliner and it really does not have the best cushioning.The Repose Contour Pressure Relieving Cushion Pad has by far exceeded my expectations for providing comfort as well as, aiding in the healing and prevention of pressure sores. She has spent extended periods of time sitting in her recliner with this cushioning pad and her back has showed NO REDNESS or MARKINGS/INDENTATIONS which have occurred when using other pads and even the mattress topper/bedding.Mom enjoys the comfort of the Repose cushion so much, that she's even asked if she can sleep in recliner vs bed at night!!Directions were easy to follow regarding use of the pump that was included for inflation, holds the air very well (only had to air up once since the first time), it fits well in the lift chair and the cover cleans up spills easily with a damp cloth.The cost seems high, but it would have been more expensive to purchase a new recliner and even then, no guarantee that it would give us some relief with pressure sores.Thank you so much for providing such a high quality product, that genuinely delivers what it claims to do!P.S. Ever consider manufacturing a mattress topper?? Just saying 😀

I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to inflate this. I watched all their videos and read the manual. The tube-shaped pump attached to the valve, but never inflated more than touch of air. Then I couldn't deflate it to remove that touch of air to repackage for a return.The inflatable cushion that goes in the outer cover is cheaply made and would need to be inflated again within 14 days. Ugh.

I bought this for my critically ill father who was in his recliner most of the time and slept in it due to health issues. My father said it increased his ability to sleep from 1 hour to 4 hours continuously. My father passed away two weeks after I bought it but I still say it is worth every penny for the comfort it provided in the last two weeks of his life.

Item is well made and easy to use. I have a large recliner/lift chair and spend a lot of time in it including sleeping. The padding had shifted and I was experiencing some discomfort and sores. I have tried several pads and cushions but nothing worked until now. This chair pad has eliminated the discomfort and sores have healed.The only con is that the inflatable pad cover is slippery. When sleeping at night with the chair back slightly elevated I slip down to the edge of the seat. A less slick cover would be helpful.

The air cushion is the ultimate in comfort! It was easy to assemble and attach to the chair. the LazBoy is not a soft chair but this cushion transforms it to a very comfortable sit or sleep. it is well worth the investment for anyone with back problems or other physical issues.

For the price, somehow I expected much more. Even though it didn’t say it was electric nor did it have moving air, the price was such that that was to be expected. This was a plastic mat like a blowup pool mat - only it was longer and thinner to fit in a recliner and much flimsier. It could have been popped easily. Not even close to worth the money. I sent it back immediately without taking the chance of putting my 94 year old immobile mother on it.

My wife and I do in home dialysis and she is required to sit in a fairly hard chair for more than 4 hours every other day, she was having a hard time finding a cushion that was comfortable for that length of time. This cushion did the trick, she doesn't complain any more about her butt being sore, I sat in the chair with the cushion on it and I swear I couldn't feel anything under me, it was like sitting on air. The price is a little high, but when your spending that much time on it, it is worth the price. It also has a good strap system and doesn't move around on the chair.

Too hard to blow up with what’s provided !! Inside is too thin tears very easy!! Terrible for the orice!!
