WiFire Remote - WiFi/Internet Remote Controller for millivolt, Standing Pilot fireplaces and stoves

I was looking for something that would allow me to heat up a short-term vacation rental home from 1,000 miles away so guests could walk into a warm house in the winter (eastern Idaho) at check-in. And I wanted to be able to monitor the temperature of the house from my phone when it was empty to prevent problems with pipes, etc. I purchased this in April 2019 after much frustration with trying to get a propane gas stove (Lopi Berkshire Stove) to work with a Nest thermostat. Since this is a millivolt system, those types of wifi thermostats will NOT work. And the Nest customer service was clueless and sent me down a rabbit hole for days trying to get the Nest to work. I found a link in an online discussion to the WiFire Remote. This is EXACTLY what I needed to solve my problem. The guy who designed it (Bill) was available every single time I called with any question and on the day I installed it (by phone). My friend and I installed it drama-free in about 30 minutes. NEVER had an issue with it since. Works beautifully! Today on New Year's Eve, Bill was available to help me troubleshoot after a group of guests tampered with the device trying to disconnect it (maybe they thought it was a camera??). Problem solved in 10 minutes with his help and I am absolutely blown away with the superb level of customer service at this company... not to mention the reliability of the WiFire Remote!! It has been a Godsend to be able to do the things I want to do with the heat as a remote owner of vacation rental property! I use the WiFire Remote to turn the heat up to warm the house before guests arrive. Once they arrive, I turn it off on my phone and they control the heat via a regular thermostat on the wall. So, they never even have to become involved in becoming a user for the WiFire Remote in order to control the heat. You can see from the photos what type of stove I have to heat the place. We have this controlling our gas fireplace stove in our Tahoe vacation spot. It is so nice to be able to not only see what the temperature is remotely (so the pipes don't freeze), but be able to control the heat from afar. We turn up at home and, by the time we arrive a couple hours later, the place is nice and toasty. Fantastic. I wish that it also came with a remote or a wall control, so it'd be easy for others that use our place to control it, instead of having to direct them to the website. Additionally, it'd also be great if it came with a longer wire to the temperature gauge, so you'd have more options of where to place it for proper temperature measurement. Overall though, just perfect for a vacation place. :)

We have had this device for a year now, so I have had a lot of time testing its effectiveness. While the initial set up was a bit complicated, after that, I never needed to connect it to bluetooth again.....even after power outages. It does all the work of re-connecting. Also, I have found that it is more efficient in regulating the temperature of our large vaulted ceiling master bedroom. And, when I asked for help in connecting it via an app or website, the customer service gave me some very useful tips on doing that through my phone. I highly recommend this product. It is American made, and thus I feel better about the service and quality.

We purchased the WiFire Remote over 2 years ago to set the room temperature at our cabin, prior to our arrival. It has performed to our satisfaction and we are pleased with the ease it takes to program the device. On two occasions, I had to reach out to the Customer Service Team (Bill Pladson) for technical assistance to resolved my problem. I highly recommend the WiFire Remote, especially for situations similar to ours that allows you the ability to control the temperature at your cabin, from either your phone or from your I Pad.

Bought this device for my cabin. Have a propane fireplace as well as baseboard heat. Could not find a device that would work with the baseboard heater. Tried this device which was easy to install. App easy to use. Device fits well beneath the fireplace. Temperature probe comes through beneath the panel and is hardly seen. Not too much trouble when electricity cuts out. Haven't had to reset system. Haven't lost electricity while it was running though. You can manually control if needed.

work great, easy to install. the mobile site needs to be more cellphone friendly. the product itself works very well for our cottage, it's propane heating and it gets cold so we need remote monitoring. we also like the fact that it's made in the US.

Love the product! The first product was very delayed because of USPS but notifying the company, they immediately sent out another on their dime, Fedex even. They responded very swiftly and satisfied their customer. Called to speak to tech support for some questions and they called back very promptly. Would definitely recommend this company.
