Imaginarium Police Station Fire House Combo

I really don't have anything good to say about this product. We purchased for Christmas 2 years ago for our then 2 and 4 year old boys. I was sure they were going to love it!First of all, I like the idea of the toy holding itself together without screws and at first thought it was neat. Now, after two years I realize that I definitely prefer screws! This thing is impossible to move without it falling apart and if you're like our family our toys get moved around A LOT!The quality of this product in general is just terrible. Our police car and fire truck had pieces broken off shortly after purchasing. The bell enclosure on top has also come apart multiple times. We have tried to use glue to keep the pieces together but it usually doesn't hold for long. The hats have broken off the men, the tops off of the chairs etc. For a product meant for young children I would expect tougher quality.As far as entertainment value, very little. Our boys have only played with this a handful of times. Every kid is different, so maybe it's just our boys, but they don't seem to get much enjoyment out of it. Our oldest likes to build furniture for it with LEGOS more than anything.It looks neat and is a great idea, but I would not recommend. Buy something with screws and that is solid construction and has quality parts.

It's a great toy for imaginative play!! But for the price it should be made of wood. I purchased it for Xmas and my luck some pieces came broken in the box.....beyond disappointing. I did only pay 70 for it at toys r us but honestly thats too much for this toy!! It's made of cheap cardboard or something like that and it is flimsy.. I'm now looking into the kidkraft firehouse which is made of real wood. Oh and the toys figures..firefighter..police officers ..do not fit into the vehicles it comes with. Strange!!!

The material is made out of 1/4 inch particle board. The building was not difficult to build. There are only 4 screws that are needed; the rest of the panels slide in hook together. The constructions itself starts a little shaking , but it turns into a solid structure after finishing. The doors to the fire house open and close with the turn of the knobs. The windows all open and close on the side panel for the fire trucks, all the others do not. There is a sliding door for the jail and you can really ring the bell. The furniture is constructed of a more solid material. The side panel with the jail has a hinge opening for the robber to escape. The people are well made but they don't fit into the police car and the fire truck. Overall my son loved this toys, he thought the people not fitting in the car was quite funny and squished them in any way. Educational wise they are using hand eye coordination, fine motor movements and developing creativity and social play. Price wise, i suggest that you find it for lower than 169, the material really isn't worth the price. The idea is there, but the quality of material is not worth the price.

I bought this set before I saw the reviews and after I bought it I did research to see that many people poorly reviewed this item. I seriously considered taking it back. I got lazy and Christmas was here and didn't want to wait an hour in line to take it back, so I wrapped this up for my 3 year old boy. Long story short. my boy loves this toy set. It isn't as flimsy as some say. Your not going to be able to lift this set up and move somewhere after you build it unless you do some heavy duty gluing which I plan to do. The set is massive and I thought the quality was pretty good more solid than what I expected. All in all I would recommend it. I paid $100

I bought this from Toys R Us for $60.00 as a Christmas gift for my five year old son. He absolutely loves it!!! He has a tendency to destroy toys very quickly. This has held up extremely well! A tiny piece of the corner chipped off in a failed attempt to scoot it over a bit. It was easily glued back. Once this is assembled it really can't be moved, without plywood or something. I myself am disappointed that the characters do not fit in the vehicles, however he has never mentioned it. We made little beds for the firemen, because there are a few extra rooms that seem to have no purpose. The jail cell is awesome! Everything about this toy is carefully detailed. It has so far produced hours of fun!!! All in all this is one of my favorite purchases yet! :)

This product is horrible. You put it together like a puzzle so you can't move it without falling apart and my 2yr old can simply take most of it apart himself. After spending 2 hours Christmas Eve putting it together I would not want to do it everyday. Not to mention the first one I purchased was cracked so we exchanged it. Unfortunately the second one was also broken! This is a red flag. I am taking this thing apart and returning it. It breaks my heart because I have been dreaming of my son opening this gift on Christmas morning, unfortunatley Toys R Us makes a very poor product.

I had high hopes for this for my little boy, thank goodness my wife and I put it together before he ever saw it, because it is being returned. The whole set is completely unsturdy when assembled. Pieces move and fall off when touched or moved. Toys-R-Us sells this item on sale for $100..I wouldnt pay over $20 for it.

I just bought this for my son while in Toys R Us today. It was only $32 and thought, "why not?!" what a pain to put together. 5 pieces were broken when I opened it. It needs to be glued to keep it sturdy. If I had paid the original price of $70 I would've returned it. I cannot lie though... He LOVES it. He's been plating with it for hours.
