Great little MP3 Player!
I bought this unit for my mom since she loved her little MP3 player I bought for her years ago. She didn't want to get an iPod or any other type of smart device, just a MP3 player that had a speaker and microphone built in. The current one she had was a Red Sony Walkman MP3 player that finally is showing some age and has some wear and tear on it and it was time for an upgrade.I did some research and most of the review sites pointed at AGPTEK branded units. So I decided to give them a try since it looked like it was a very easy to use unit. I wanted one that had at least 16gb of storage, which doubled her current one, but the nice thing is, it can support additional storage for up to 128GB microSD cards. And for under $40 dollars, you get a lot of value out of it. It also has a FM antenna that comes with the unit since it does support Radio functions as well, only thing is, you lose the headphone jack because that's where the antenna plugs in, so you will be either using bluetooth or the speaker. It is a very easy to use MP3 player. Very straight forward controls, good GUI, and it takes a standard Micro USB cable. Not a proprietary one like the one my mom had on her Sony Walkman. It's speaker is also very decent, only complaint I have is that it is on the back of the unit, so if you lay it on its back, half the sound goes away. It does have bluetooth functions but that feature in our case, wont really get used at all. The unit does feel sturdy and has some weight to it. Firmware updates are quick and easy. All you have to do is go to AGPTEK's website and just find the compatible model of your player, and it downloads. It took less then 30 seconds for it to update the firmware and we were up and running again. And to top it all off, you don't have to use drag and drop to add the music. Just use the standard Windows Media Player that is built in on Windows to use it for sync purpose, makes it a lot more organized and quicker in my opinion. All in all, I am extremely happy with the purchase and look forward to more great products from AGPTEK.

It works, but is cheaper construction than expected
I was looking for a middle of the road mp3 player, and I guess the "middle" is closer to $75. The buttons are loose and rattle around with movement, but not so loose that they will fall out. The sound quality is fantastic and despite the rattling it's quite sturdy. I carry it in an outside pocked in a gym bag and after several months it hasn't broken. Two things are odd with it. First is the randomized song play: it's actually random. I've gotten the same song twice in a row on multiple occasions. In addition, sometimes it will repeat the same song two or three songs later. Normally I expect there to be a "no repeat" algorithm for this kind of thing, but it's not a big deal. Just hit skip and move on.The second thing is the device will actually turn off and back on if there is a jarring impact. It "skips" almost like CD players used to. I was running on a treadmill with the device sitting in a tray on the front, and after a few minutes it would turn off then restart. I fixed the issue by carrying it while running, but I thought that was a really odd thing for an MP3 player that supposedly was designed for exercise usage. I doubt anyone would have trouble if they put it in an exercise armband. For this price and the excellent sound quality I'm willing to put up with a few minor inconveniences. I believe it will last me for a few years at least.

A little bugy, get the right card.
I tried to turn it off while it was charging, and it turned off twice and then turned back on. After that it would play music, but about half-way through an album it would say "no files found". It was all down hill from there, it went to failing to find the music I was just listening to quicker and quicker, and then went to blank screens, and finally when I turn it on the first thing it says is "no files found" before I've even selected anything, and then allows me to listen to whatever for thirty seconds or less.I got it on Feb. 2, by Feb 19 it was non-functional.(Edit): It appears to have been a compatibility issue with my SD card. With the advice of a representative of the company that makes the thing, I put a different card in and it seems to work again. So, maybe don't get the samsung SD for this particular device. Even though it appears to be working, they still gave me a refund! Too bad I already got a new player, I'll keep this as a backup.

This is a great little mp3 player at an amazing price!
This is the second AGPTEK mp3 player I have owned and I have been extremely satisfied with both. The controls on this model are simpler and more intuitive. (I had some trouble with touch screen on the previous model.) The buttons on this unit are all physical buttons so there's less chance of hitting the wrong one. The metal body feels solid and the screen is bright and easy to understand. I also appreciate the 16GB capacity and the option of adding more memory with a micro SD card. The bluetooth works great and is easy to set up. The only thing I miss so far from the previous model is a loop for attaching a lanyard or other means of keeping better track of it.

I am enjoying this MP3 player...
This mp3 player is a little dynamo. Its a metal casing so it has some weight to it, its blue tooth and works great with my wireless earbuds-connecting is extremely easy. I love that it has expandable memory. You can also use wired earbuds. When you listen without earbuds the sound is good. The readout is better than I thought it would be and its a good size too.

Product is acceptable.
This item does have some issues. It often stops playing when I pick it up or move it. Have to reboot. Sometimes it stops for no reason, need to reboot. I can't figure out how to download music to a specific folder. I can only access the sample music folder when I download, then move it to another folder-very tedious. Sound is good, home screen is good. You get what you pay for.
