MGgear Clear Transparent PVC Multi-pockets School Backpack/ Outdoor Backpack

Bought these after the kids repeatedly snuck small toys into school last year. Keeps everything dry and clean, unlike mesh backpacks. Easy to clean out, say, a gooey crushed banana or melted chocolate. These hold up pretty well to younger-elementary abuse, but the plastic does not like the cold weather so much. The first cracks started to appear after about 2 months (in March, SE Pennsylvania).Bought new ones for the new school year. Makes it easy to quickly scan for contraband, but also to make sure all the required stuff is there ("Where is your lunchbox?!?") Previous one is still going strong, repurposed as a travel bag (the other was destroyed by the dog). Cold seems to be the biggest problem. Clear packing tape stops small cracks just fine. I fully expect these to die in the middle of winter, but I'll buy 2 more.Bottom line: I highly recommend these--unless you live in Minnesota, or such.

I bought this to have an "emergency travel kit"; I liked that it was see-through so I could pack far in advance and not have to unpack to see what was in it. Also great for keeping in the car; again, I like that it's see through because I wanted to have it for certain occasions only, and to keep it prepacked, and I didn't want to forget what was in it. It's very sturdy!! I was surprised at the thickness of the vinyl. If necessary, for privacy concerns, it would be easy to put a scarf or similar item against the inside vinyl; you could also personalize your backpack that way, like a skin! I am strongly considering buying another. I know these are mostly for kids at school but I am in my 40s!

I bought two of these because our school district only allows clear backpacks and I was having a hard time finding them locally. Two years before, I had bought whatever brand at Target for $15. My older son used it for kindergarten and first grade. The only problem we had with it was that the small mesh pocket got a tear in it from him putting something too pointy and big in it.The K-Cliffs brand is a completely different story. The zippers on the main compartments started to fail about halfway through the school year. The main compartment has two zippers so it can be zipped from either side. One side failed, and for the third quarter of school, we were able to only zip the main compartment in one direction (not that big of a deal). Then shortly after, the other zipper failed on both bags. At some point during the fourth quarter of school, both bags got a couple holes in the bottom of the bag. The apparently cheaply made plastic just cracked and got holes. These backpacks were not put through any rigor by any means. They were used by a kindergartener and a second grader. No heavy toting going on here. I take my kids to school every day and pick them up every day. I give them their backpacks at the door to the school, and they give them back to me as soon as they come out of the school. There's no dragging onto a bus or dragging on the sidewalk, but if you looked at the condition of them, that's what you'd think.Meanwhile the Target backpack is still sitting around the house somewhere in perfectly good condition (except for the tear in the mesh pocket). My younger son uses it to pack up all of his animals and small toys and drags it up and down our stairs.I will never buy this K-Cliffs brand again! I wish I could give it less than 1 star.

Ordered this for my daughter as her school requires clear backpacks . Just got it today and love it , plenty of room and very sturdy unlike her old backpack which was thin and fell apart in less than 3 months of use . Highly recomend this product .

My son used these in middle school and they were fine. But now in high school I've already gone through two this year. With a heavier load of books they don't seem to last. Going to try the mesh and pvc and see if they hold up longer.

This packpack is just what I needed, I work at a prison and we are required to have a clear bag. It is sturdy, and not to mention it is stylish

I work in an amusement park that makes us carry our stuff around in clear bags and the one they gave me broke my first day of training! thank god I got to order this one, The guests at the park love the bag it's bright just like my personality and I don't have to carry around a clear broken purse anymore. Great for carrying the school books i need to study during break also :)

My son started middle school this year, where clear backpacks are required. I was happy to find this one on amazon that was well rated and affordable. However, it is only the sixth week of school and my son brought it home on Friday with a huge hole in it. It's right at the seam on the bottom, which points to lack of sturdy construction. I'm now looking for one to replace this one.
