EasyPond 30000 Pond Filtration System - Includes Pump, Filter, UVC & Hose

Have not fired up this kit yet,but having a label which tells you that the operation is reversed and that the Bypass facility will no longer work makes for three stars. The UV tube holder is ,in my opinion, not really fit for purpose, the tube drops out because the holding mechanism is virtually non existent.Why weren't the lids sent back to the Chinese manufacture and the UV mechanics also changed at the same time? I will add to this review when I'm up and running. The unit seems to be good value for money.Now installed and running, initial results look promising though I'd say the UV is under-rated for the pond capacity .Tried the back flush which ran well BUT switched back to "CLEAN" (remember reversal of positions) and some water still trickles from drain hose. Obviously this is not uncommon and the instruction sheet tells you to remove top then remove screws holding cap, considering there are about eight screws and you are handling a lid with three hoses attached and a UV this is no mean feat. Smeared seal with Vaseline and refitted.....NO affect. This unit seems to have so many negatives that I can not recommend it .No dramatic improvement after a couple of weeks, but I really didn't expect it. I'm running this alongside an Oase screenmatic 18 which is undersized for my 3500 galls pond so i decided to supplement with the Pondexpert as the cheapest route. I do find it a pain taking off the top cover,it just doesn't lift it has to be pried off and with hoses and cable attached it is rather ungainly. Oh yes wear old clothes it does tend to splash everywhere. Check the UV outer casing ,it's in 3 parts and I found that the lower part can get left behind with the flexible UV end cap.(23/07/2016). I'll add more as the weeks go by.26/07/2016..Reached the conclusion that the foam filters are simply not fine enough to remove majority of suspended particles.The solution which I'm testing requires a lady's knee length 15 denier stocking attached to the outlet hose with wire jubilee clip. I've been running this for two days and I've found that after 24 Hrs the stocking is 2/3 full of small particles and the pond is clearing quite nicely.At the present progress a week should see a vast improvement. Pondexpert should consider adding a third foam of a finer density.

Good help from company but all filter is reversed by manufacturers making it very confusing
