Not suitable for lengthy work, bks it's shutting down every time and you should move the rotarry to off position every time you want to reset instead of any single reset button

One line summary: DO NOT BUY THIS!Also: This company has nothing to do with the well known HTC corp (yes, I assumed this was their subsidiary and that's why I bought this actually...yes, I am that stupid!)Pros:- Accuracy of voltage and current measurements is good.- Build quality of case is quite good- Multimeter leads also seem quite good.Cons:- Bad internal PCB construction. Soldering is very very shoddy. These haven't been done professionally.- Continuity test did not beep (this may be a one off problem that affects only me, but it points to assembly and construction issues overall. I don't know how they put a "QC passed" sticker when something this simple did not work)Ok, now the story.It's very rare - actually never happened before - that I have had to disassemble and solder on a brand new device within half ofan hour of receiving it. But I had no choice this time because this thing malfunctioned right from the start!I mean what's the first thing you're likely to check when you receive a multimeter? Put it in continuity mode,plug in the leads, and cross them to hear the beep - right? Well, in my case, even that simplest of tests failed to produce a beep.Maybe a weak battery, I thought, and put in a brand new one. Still no beep.So I opened up the case to see what's wrong....And I did NOT like what I saw! Both the buzzer wires were left completely utterly unsoldered!Like somebody had simply inserted the wires in PCB holes and that's it. Not a drop of solder anywhere on it. Maybe they expected the magicsmoke to make a wireless electrical connection? (see pics 1 and 2).Other solder joints too seemed very iffy. Such as the battery wire solder joints in pic 3 as well as capacitor joints (not shown in pics).Anyway, to be on the safe side, I resoldered all the joints I could.I'm fairly experienced in electronics and opening and repairing things doesn't intimidate me.But I worry what a newbie hobbyist might do if this happens to them - imagine the excitement of buying such an essential toolfor their hobby and then the disappointment when its most basic functionality doesn't work, wondering what they are doing wrong.It's all working fine now after I soldered the joints.Still, the fact that everything didn't work fine out of the box left a bad taste in my mouth and a bad impression.I don't really trust it, and won't be buying any more of this company's products.Some pics of the bad solder joints on PCB below. Also, for your enjoyment, a bonus pic of our cat Nellie who helped me diagnose and repair this (after all, how many cat pics have you come across in Amazon reviews?!)

This multimeter is very good. It's accuracy is decent.The actual count of this DMM is 2000; amazon/seller is so dumb to not mention the counts of this DMM; whereas flipkart shows the counts of this model as 4000 which is a lie.It has lots of features.It comes with plugged in battery.The LCD display is big and informative.Range switch is too good.DMM has electrical protection; but not 100%.My DMM's buzzer is slightly cracking the sound; but its works somehow.There is no cover given for DMM, but that is not necessary.Probe wires are also good.Overall, the product is good at this price, it can be rated overall 4.5/5 at this price range.This product is worthy.

HTC DM-81 Multimeter it good

It a very good product.At first i was not sure it was good or not before buying and pushed to negative thoughts by reading comments on this product but after i got my product in hand it is above expection. Even you get Capacitance on thos kind of low budget meters.Good product believe me you should buy it if you are on budget. The units are also accurate (better than those Rs.250 range meters)The make quality is also good even the probes are of good quality.
