The media could not be loaded.  It does what it claims to do and reduces the cabin temp 😀👍 If the wind is heavy BE SAFE with it and try angling it down into the wind when opening. Also when closing be extremely cautious of wind direction and remove the last strap from the spot the wind is hitting the tent then keep your hand held onto that side of the tent angled down into the wind throughout the closing process. Other than that word of caution make sure to the it down snug and even so the base of the suction mount isn't rocking back and forth. Just keep these things in mind and enjoy a cool cabin this summer 😀👍 I'll try to remember to update this with a good cabin temp vs outside temp in the absolute dead of summer late July into August. The media could not be loaded.  The Lanmodo automatic car tent works great and seems to be very well built! It is easy to install and easy to remove.I didn't think i was going to receive it until over a month after purchase, but they have that long shipping window because of potential back orders from high demand (it's a new seller with just a few employees).Shipping was very fast via DHL (i got it way before the scheduled window of May 7th-May 29th). I bought this car tent/canopy on April 14th... The item was picked up by DHL in Hong Kong on April 25th, it was already in Los Angeles the same day, and delivered to my address in San Francisco on April 26th.We had a few communication issues/misunderstandings, but that was mostly because it's a new product and new seller. I also thought the round end cap of the storage bag was torn open, but they said that was the way that the bag is designed.

It keeps the hottest sun of the day off the interior of the car. It has faded from black to gray very quickly. And it has to be charged up more often than we expected. Get the bigger one for big old Lincoln’s and stuff like that. We got the smaller one and wish we had got the big one. Edit because in one year’s time, the tent is worn out. I can’t keep buying a new one of these ever dang year. And I didn’t get the extended warranty, so this car umbrella cover is going into the garbage. That’s $300 in the garbage. I have lowered my rating to one star as a result of it not lasting any time at all.

THE UNIT WAS BIG HEAVY AND EXPENSIVE. REQUIRED A STEP LADDER TO GET IT ON MY X5 ROOF. TAKES ABOUT 10 MINS TO INSTALL. IF ITS WINDY OUT WATCH OUT. THE NYLON "ROOFING" DISCONECTED FROM THE FRAME MANY TIMES IN MILD WIND. IT ALSO DOESN'T COVER THE ENTIRE VEHICLE - ONLY ABOUT 80% OF IT. GIVEN THE SENSATIVITY TO WIND, THE HIGH COST (OVER $450) AND THE AMOUNT OF EFFORT TO INSTALL IT EACH DAY - IT WASN'T WORTH THE EFFORT.

I have this car tent for several months now and used it about 5-6 when there was hail warnings here in NTX, i bought this to protect my truck’s cab so length-wise is more than enough, however, as soon as there some strong winds this things started loosing shape, disconnected plastic rods scratched my roof and overall was a mess to amend, i would suggest the company to make it more sturdy and thicker frame with wind venting holes since most customers won’t use this to protect their vehicles from sun or light rain but from true hail or snow and those always come hard.

The car tent does a great job with protecting the car from falling debris and other problems caused by parking beneath a tree. It keeps the car dry when it rains.However, after one weeks use, a screw came out, following the screw the poles on that particular side got bent when heavy wind took hold of the product. It has taken me from June, until August to get the missing screw from customer service. And even then I still haven’t gotten help for the bent arms.If you are interested in buying this product, I recommend being prepared to fix the car tent on your own if something breaks. Never before have I had such a hard time receiving help from customer service.My tent works, but only because I sat and bent the arms back into the appropriate position, customer service needed better proof that there was an issue in the first place. For a product that costs so much, I would have hoped they would be willing to have it sent in, fix it, and send it back. Especially after breaking with only one weeks use.Overall, the product protects the car, but if it breaks. Good luck getting help.

Worked pretty well for about a year. Put them in storage over the winter and brought them back out in the spring for hail season. The snaps that hold the umbrella to the frame keep coming off, and as a result the umbrella got caught in the wind and the frame best out of shape. Now mostly u usable. Going to try and return it for a refund.
