I have had thiswatch since 2014
I have had this watch since 2014.Accuracy: I only reset the time twice each year ie. for daylight saving and while I have not checked the accuracy, I have never had to alter the time in between. There have been numerous fairly accurate 5 star reviews of this watch and I agree with most of them so I will only cover some points of contention.SECOND HAND POSITIONING: This is one of the few quartz watches that I own where the second hand lines up perfectly with the second/minute markers on the dial and somewhat unusually, that accuracy remains throughout the full 360 of second hand movement.CASE MATERIAL: Some reviewers have mentioned that the stainless is easily scratched - It may be inclined to be...that cannot be confirmed without some sort of hardness test, Brinell, Vickers etc., to check whether it is of 316L stainless, or a softer grade. My watch has a couple of ever so faint marks as to be almost unnoticeable and i suspect they were either there from new or they occurred unknowingly. For a cheapish watch it is somewhat showy, while certainly without "Bling" and it is probably not suited to a so called "Beater" watch - unless one did not care about a deteriorated appearance. BRACELET LINKS: Yes, the bracelet does have solid links as some have stated but the end links are not solid, they are pressed metal as is common for a watch in it's price range, but they are quite firm. The pressed links are apparent from the rear when using the "Click to play Video". However, I would not hold that against it, or its case size of being perhaps a couple of mm slightly smaller than is currently "preferred", as some reviewers have lamented, because that is what it is and at its often discounted price, it is a great looking watch at an occasional bargain. The DIAL: No matter how many watches I own, or the additional complications of the others, the blue SUN Ray Dial, in the bright sunshine is quite simply stunning. The LUME: It does not appear to be overly bright, or last particularly long after dark no, it certainly does not appear to be of Seiko Lumibrite as on some Seiko Diver watches or an equivalent superluminova luminescence. However, I doubt that one would buy this watch for ultimate lume, it is more a casual/dress watch, showy without bling - brighter luminescence could be better fulfilled by a Diver model. However, I find that the gold on blue dial it is very legible to read at night in semi dark. Although I have several watches and use reading glasses, this is usually my "go to watch" for night wear because I can read it easily without optics. The PERPETUAL CALENDAR: I have reset the perpetual calendar twice - ** see below - and it is not difficult if the manual is followed to the letter. Perpetual calendars are programmed and set to whichever the current year is in relation to a leap year. ie. - one of 4 - year options which is achieved by the button/pusher adjusting sequence. It is important, that if the adjusting sequence of pressing the relevant buttons shown in the manual does NOT seem to be achieving the desirable result, this is usually corrected during EACH sequence, by paying particular attention to the MANUAL correction comments, NOTED IN BLUE, at each stage of the operation. ** When I received my new watch, I noted that the date differed from that of the room calendar, so I reset it it as per the manual. A few days later I noticed that it was incorrect again. Hmmm....??? Apparently, the room calendar was still showing the previous month and the watch setting was originally correct. So, I had to re programme it again. No problem, it gets easier the second time and... it has been correct ever since. With Citizen watches, the time programming begins with the hands set to 1 of four positions: either 1 O'clock, 2 O'clock, 3 or 4 - and that is how the watch knows whether it is a leap year or the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, year thereafter. Seiko achieves the same end result, but it does not seem to be as logical to remember without reference to the manual. The GOLD PLATING: apart from the buttons/pushers, the gold on the bracelet links appears to be minimally recessed and the gold on the bezel markers, even more so - hopefully resulting in better than average longevity against scuffing. Regardless of the frequent inexpensive cost of this watch, to maintain a polished two tone watch in somewhat perfect condition requires a degree of owner awareness to prevent scuffing. It is probably taken as read that a sole general purpose watch will either, eventually get scratched/damaged - or alternatively, better preserved by having a selection of watches for differing occasions.

Arrived early, has scratches and stains. Second hand perfectly aligned with minute marks. Satisfied and keeping it.
I chose the "Ships and sold by Amazon.com" for the 3 year Seiko warranty. Arrived 2 days early. It has small scratches/'deep mars' on the front top of the bezel. The back looks like it is stained with water marks - I have tried to gently clean it but the stain persists - not a big issue. I am not returning it for a perfect one because I'll probably do similar (or worse) damage to it from daily wear. The luminous elements fade quickly (within an hour) even after being in the sun to 'charge up' for a couple of hours. The second hand movement is perfectly aligned with the minute marks on the dial. I am happy with the watch and it looks better than the product photo. I think it is/was a great value for $83 from Amazon and includes the proper 3 year warranty from Seiko. Outstanding accuracy; reasonable price; understated, elegant appearance
My decision to purchase this watch was prompted by the fact that my old Eco Drive diver's watch was suffering a loss of its ability to hold a charge, hasn't gone diving for at least 5yrs and, frankly, looked pretty shabby after constant use for 20yrs.This watch was ordered late Mon. afternoon and arrived early Wed. afternoon per Amazon Prime. It was in a Seiko "pillow" box, which was bubble wrapped in a cardboard box and seemed adequately protected--was unable to find any scratches or blemishes on the Seiko. Its appearance is best described as understated elegance without being ostentatious or gaudy. Compared to my old watch, the smaller diameter (about 3mm) and thickness (about 2mm) of the SNQ010, sometimes makes me check to see if I've lost my new watch. Don't assume this is a "girly-man's" watch, but, if an even smaller size is important, maybe U need to be looking in the "women's" section. The time on the watch, which was running, was exactly 59min., 56sec. slow. I attribute this to the fact it was ordered about 1 week after daylight savings time and the 4sec. to the inaccuracy of the watch from when it was set at the factory--not too shabby! Correcting the time was simple as per the included instruction booklets, but there was no info on band adjustment or battery replacement. Figure I have about 3+yrs. before I have to replace the battery, which, by the way, is listed as SR927 SW(AB-AP). The internet provided adequate info for making the bracelet alterations, but, thus far, I have not found info on battery replacement on this particular model. The bracelet, as it arrived, seemed to be large enough for a gorilla. Removed 4 1/2 links using a "push-pin" type tack and small, plastic headed hammer. Did not even need pliers to remove the cotter pins connecting the links. "1/2" U ask---just moved the pin on the clasp out one hole for the extra "1/2" distance. Now have a fit that keeps the watch face centered on the back of my 6 1/2" wrist without leaving marks on my svelte, elderly forearm.Accuracy of this watch appears to be within 1/2 sec./two weeks as checked against a Ft. Collins synced clock, which, I think is outstanding; having it keep the date updated automatically is a real plus, since I hardly ever remembered to do it on my old dive watch. I haven't gotten to the point that I forget which day of the week it is, so I don't need or miss that function, yet!

Not up to Seiko standards
Seiko SNQ010.Pretty watch but not up to Seiko standards. I have been a Seiko fan for a long time and presently own two other Seiko's.I saw this watch in a department going for $315 minus some discount. I found what seemed a good price on line. When I received it, the manual did not match the watch and after about three months it stopped running. I had a new battery installed, It ran for another two weeks and stopped. The perpetual calender was extremely hard to set and the watch did not respond according to the manual. The appearance is the only good thing I can say about this watch. Even the band will scratch at the slightest contact with anything. In summery do not buy this watch.
