Review: Invaluable - I am so happy that I bought this book. About to move to Abu Dhabi and have found this book to be invaluable in helping me prepare and be organised for my move. I know it can't tell me everything but it sure goes a long way. Review: Concise and yet lacking somewhat for tourists - I must say I was very surprised at the fact there are very few books on Abu Dhabi for tourists, and so I went with this one for the map too. One thing I would say was even though this is a relatively new publication, there were buildings not on the map when we visited (Nov 2011) and difficult to find, so try to buy the most up to date map possible - Abu Dhabi is such a rapidly growing city! This book focuses a lot on hotels to say in and restaurants to eat in, and not really on the tourist attractions and other things to do. This is a residences' guide after all so perhaps not the best for travellers. It is a small and compact book which is good for carrying around, but lacks nice photos or more detailed maps. Overall, this book will get you throught your visit, but if it is not overly detailed and the map is somewhat out of date (!!).
