American Plant Exchange Golden Pothos Indoor/Outdoor Air Purifier Live Plant, 6" Pot

I was skeptical about buying a plant online, but after reading the previous reviews and facts about how resilient this plant is I decided to go ahead and do it. I am very impressed with the quality of this plant. There doesn't appear to be any damage from shipping other than some dirt on the upper leaves that could have happened if it tipped over but it doesn't look badgered at all! There are a few spots I had to prune, but nothing that you wouldn't find from buying it at a nursery in person. For the price this plant is a great deal! The picture is from right after I unpacked it and after it had been sitting on my porch for 12 hours. It held up wonderfully. I absolutely recommend the American Plant Exchange company for anyone wanting to buy plants online! Trust has been won.

I am very sad to report that the plant I received has, for the most part, passed on. My plant was delivered last night, at the end of one of the coldest days on record. I don't believe the American Plant Exchange is to blame, but I strongly suspect the idiot who delivered it may have had a hand in it. The box it comes in is very sturdy and carries stickers - WIDE, ORANGE and WHITE, and BRIGHT, that clearly state FRAGILE - THIS SIDE UP. Of course I found it outside my door, upside down and partially smashed. I brought it in and carefully unwrapped it. The poor plant was half dead and half alive. You can see from the picture that the half that was dead appears to have been frozen. I suspect it was left sitting inside the back of the van or whatever vehicle was used to carry it and it just froze. It's really sad because the leaves that were still alive were beautiful. The yellow and green colors were vibrant and the leaves were large and really nice looking. I repotted the poor thing in the hopes that the roots might have survived and it might still come back. Unfortunately this morning it looked even more wilted than ever. It's just such a shame!

I suppose since I'm returning to buy a second live pothos, I should review my first purchase!I purchased this item as a live plant addition into my chameleon's arboreal enclosure and she. loves. this. plant. It grows quickly, its safe for her to eat, it's presence upped the humidity in her tank to a beautiful amount, and its large enough to offer her a shady corner to hide if she gets tired of the basking light and needs to cool down after a sun bathe. They take very little water and because of the humidifier that beads water into her enclosure, I never have to water this sucker.In essence, this is a plant I don't water, that my chameleon eats the leaves and uses the pot and soil as a toilet, and its still growing beautifully, vines and all. If you suck at keeping plants alive, this is the plant for you. And now I am purchasing a second one for another chameleon coming into my household next weekend. I know this plant will ship quickly, be packed marvelously, and arrive ready to go into the enclosure with no problems. :)

I have purchased a number of plants from this company on Amazon. Every plant, no matter what variety, has been perfect. What a fabulous gift.

The only reason I gave this three stars instead of five, is because it says it’s for a “1 gallon” pot plant, and it’s not. It’s actually a quart sized 6 inch pot. I think the price point is high for a plant that small, and I don’t like that it’s inaccurately described. However it’s too much hassle to try and return this, and the plant is very good quality.The plant came in a box well marked “fragile” and “this side up”. Despite that, the delivery guy left it on its side on my doorstep. These plants are packed well though, including the soil being well backed with extra soil to account for its transport. But when you open it up it’s a dirty mess. The plant leaves were covered in soil and it took some clean up before potting.Time will tell how hearty the plant is. This type of plant is very strong so should do well. Update the description.

Wasn't sure what it would be like having a plant delivered from Amazon, but it came in relatively good condition. Despite the "This side up" stickers, it had clearly been mishandled, but because it was well wrapped inside, the contents mostly stayed put. I'd give it 5 stars but compared to the other pictures customers have taken, mine do not have any long vines yet. I suppose it just means it's a young plant. Also, some of the leaves are cracked in the middle. I wish care instructions came with the plant. Overall I'm happy and would (and probably plan to) buy again.

Excellent quality, leaves are flourishing & healthy.Remember you’re buying a live plant- anything can happen in transit people! Different people are handling this plant along the way..Mine came safe & secure- however, remember there is soil, there can be a mess, it’s common sense!!! I see these crazy reviews & I must get this out! This is a tricky item to buy. However, I feel this company does a great job with growing, caring, handling & shipping. 10/10 stars.And if you’re not happy, return it and get another one...:)

I usually pay $14.99 for the quart size pathos online and at local places like the hardware store. NONE are in as beautiful condition as these.I bought five because it was such a fantastic deal. Each plant arrived in tall narrow boxes just big enough to contain the plants, and there were NO styrofoam peanuts. The reason for the tall shipping containers was because of the long vines.All five plants arrived with atleast two feet or longer vines. Each plant was ready to be transferred to a hanging planter with full, rich soil, not mulch. The leaves had not been treated with a conditioner or waxing products. They were naturally full, shiny, and lush.I will be buying more from this seller.
