Great for a16 lb strong cat
My cat Mabel is a strong 16 lb cat. Her body length (not including her tail), is 21.5 inch long. She hates carriers (like the plastic ones with the metal gate). We ordered this carrier late March because she wasn't herself and I figured we would have to take her to the vet. When the carrier arrived, I opened the package in front of her and she came to explore the carrier. She started to smell it and look inside, however, she did not go inside. I moved the carrier to another room and she walked halfway inside all by herself! I was so excited but I knew that she would probably fight me when we needed to use the carrier. In April, we had to take her to the vet. I watched videos on how to get a cat into a carrier and the day we had to take her to the vet, she sensed something was up. My husband propped the carrier upright and I picked her up and secured her against my body while holding her arms and legs and I placed her into this carrier. My husband quickly zipped it up and she realized she was inside the carrier and she started to try to tear the black see-through mesh.As her nails pulled the mesh, it DID NOT TEAR! she tried pushing her face into the mesh, but because the design of the mesh is a tight weave, she could not hurt her face!! we tried using the shoulder strap but because she was moving around we removed the shoulder strap and just held her from the smaller hand straps (like a bowling bag).Mabel is doing way better by the way :) We are happy that we found this large carrier and it was strong enough for her.Pros:Soft for cat safetyStrong enough for a 16 lb tough catStrong meshEasy to cleanIts not intimidating for cats that fear carriersThe large size is great even for a big catCons:The shoulder strap is useless because the way it is positioned (its not balanced)The color choices

Second time I bought one, it was well-made!
This is an update on my previous "feedback." Originally, I was sent a defective PPOGOO cat carrier where the zipper literally fell off its track. I returned the carrier even though I loved the style; I was disappointed. After looking at all of the available carriers for my 15 1/2 pound "Tiger," I realized that I should give PPOGOO another chance to see if their inspection prior to shipping would insure that I received a well-stitched carrier. I'm glad that I did because the one I received the second time is well stitched and survived my struggling big kitty as we drove the ten miles to the vet for annual check-up. And, it survived the return home! I've inspected it, and there are no tears and the zipper seems secure. It will be ready for the next trip to vet, and I feel like it will last a long time.I like the way the carrier opens at both ends so that I can easily lure Tiger in the cage. I got no bites or scratches. The base of the unit did sort of curve with his weight, but it held up fine and I don't think it will break. Seems well-made! I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a big carrier for a long, heavy kitty!

PRO/CON (tldr) REVIEW followed by in-depth review.Pros:-Large is long and tall so the extra space provides comfort for my dog-Top is bendable/flexible/adjustable to airline seat height, basically 5stars on “squishable"-Stores flat-Lightweight-Vented on four sides (front, back, top, one side)-Mesh vent seem ok enough for my dog (won’t chew/claw)Cons:-Large bag's bottom board is too flimsy for its length (probably same thickness as the small and medium bag).-Board is covered but not waterproof-Board cover is not removable so can't be washed-Board is not padded/no bed included-Bottom could have been reinforced more for a bit more sturdiness and structure-Doesn’t have suitcase/seatbelt strapsMy dog is 12.5lb but tallish. First off, my dog is tall so this large carrier is perfect for his height and length. Second, compared to the other carrier (which was expandable but only vented on top and one opening when not expanded) this carrier is very much vented/airy.The biggest con for this bag is that the bottom is very flimsy, board is too thin. When I walk around with my dog, I can feel and see in the mirror the middle giving in a bit and the sides squishes into my dog because the top gets pulled up. I pull at the front entrance shoulder strap clasp and it helps to lessen the squishing into my dog's face. Also it's better to carry by the hand held handles over my shoulder rather than using the actual shoulder straps. It was more stable and I can reach my hand under the bag to give more support. This length bag should've been constructed with a thicker board. I added a cut out cardboard under the board and that seemed to help plus it didn't add much weight.Total weight of dog plus bag is at 14.8lb. I'm trying to keep the total weight at 15lbs or less for the strictest airline requirement (international flights with Asian airlines limit it to 15lbs-7kg) just in case we get rerouted through different airline. The company should have made the cover for the board padded and removable or at least waterproof. I will be wrapping the boards to make them waterproof and adding some padding (I'm using my yoga mats extra knee pad as bedding with dryfur pad). I like that the top isn't too stiff but wish the entrance (where the shoulder strap clasp is located) had a stiff wire across so it helps prevent the caving in while carrying the dog inside the bag.It came packaged flat so at first the top has a teepee look but you just push down the pointed area and it semi-flattens to look like every other squared carrier top. The flexibility will make it easy to stow under the airline seat.Overall, I like the bag for the height, flexibility, and being lightweight but dislike the flimsy board and bottom. I guess that’s the tradeoff for wanting a lighter, flexible bag. I will update once it’s been used in a flight though that won’t be until this summer.*uploaded pictures, some with another bag for comparison as well*

Inexpensive and handy lightweight carrier
I purchased this for my largest cat, who was a bit too big for our older hard-sided carrier. This carrier is slightly larger in dimensions, but the mesh components, and "tented" style roof have him enjoying rides to the vet much more than before. He likes being able to see out from all angles and to be able to sit up.This is a great carrier for occassional trips and emergencies (keep one in your car!). It's lightweight and folds up flat and compactly. Our cat is a big boy, he's typically around 17-18 pounds, so for daily usage, I'm not sure how it'd hold up under those conditions. A worthwhile trade off for being lightweight and compact!Superb customer service as well! When it first arrived, the zipper came undone from its track. PPOGOO immediately sent me a replacement! Thank you!
