Contact heat resistance temperature?

No sure on the exact temperature, but I was able to pick up burning wood embers for about 3 secs without feeling any heat. Hope this helps.

Are the 14 inch gloves a smaller hand size than the 16 inch?

We did not see the size but they are very good for safely putting logs on the log burner and I have now got a pair for taking food out of the oven. We are very impressed with them. Now have 3 pairs.
