Great radio with good features, good screen, and wireless CarPlay.
Installed in a 2008 Ford F-150. The install went pretty smooth. I was able to retain steering wheel controls with the Axxess ASWC-1 module. The OEM backup camera was retained as well, along with the rear view mirror backup cam screen. This F150 has a factory subwoofer, if you have a Ford with a factory subwoofer then you will need a 5v regulator to step the voltage down from 12v or else you will hear a loud pop when the radio turns on. Updating the maps was a bit of a headache, but I got it worked out.Radio gets good reception, the menus are easy enough to navigate. Screen is responsive. Wireless CarPlay works great. I don’t have an Android so I don’t know how that works. Plays DVD’s. The system sounds great and provided the bigger screen for the backup camera that the owner (my mother) wanted. She is enjoying the radio, the only thing she ever says anything about is the navigation maps, and her complaint is that the eta between the radio nav and what her phone maps calculate are very different so she worries that it trying to take her a slower route. I don’t know if that is the case. The unit has an obligatory warning screen that plays on every startup that cannot be turned off in the settings. But you can hit ok to skip past it, or just wait for it to go away.

So so
Screen is hard to see even with brightness up all the way in the sunlight. Control buttons on the side are tiny and hard to see their function

Lots of features for the money
It excellent — just can’t figure out if I can raise the mic volume. I drive a convertible.

Screen Mirroring Doesn’t Work @ All. Apple Car-Play won’t connect to IPad.
I have a 2011 Yukon Denali. As you know, this is one of the only models that has Apple car play, so I’ll comment on that quickly before my full review.Apple Car-Play works well. Takes a little long to get the connectivity to work but after the first time it’s automatically turned on and connected once you turn on the vehicle (with device in range). Great Touch-screen interface, making it effortlessly functional.Full review: I do not like this unit. If you are familiar with the Denali trim of the Yukon model, you’re aware that this comes stock with luxurious features including a touch screen stereo. Aside from Apple Car-Play (ACP) this unit is comparable to my stock stereo.Does not retain back-up camera. This may be due to the adapter harness i purchased. USB (AuX to stereo) no longer works. The wheel buttons do still work. This unit comes with a mic. So you can still have phone conversations. The mic is separated from the unit, which I like. I place my mic clip on the ceiling lining. The major thing I dislike about the unit is how my iPad won’t connect. The unit connects to my phone no problem, but when it comes to my iPad (newest version just purchased last month) it won’t work. My wife and I are traveling so we have the iPad in a cup holder. We bought these two things together for the purpose of linking the two together seamlessly without having to use our phones. Also, the Screen Mirroring mode won’t work on any of our devices, the unit won’t pop up as a usable option. Just a frustrating purchase. Hope this helps.

Excellent system, once installed.
I thoroughly love this unit. I'm only using half the features that are available but it gives me everything I want and more.It is not easy to install, especially in older cars that may not have the signals (like speed sensor) that the unit asks for but there are workarounds. My only suggestion to pioneer is to make available online, wiring diagrams for every vehicle the unit might be installed in. It took me weeks of scouring the net to find enough information, but in the end it was worth it!

Don’t wait, just buy it !
Awesome unit. Wireless Apple CarPlay is the best. So nice to have full access of your maps, contacts and messages through your head unit. I just recently discovered the built in navigation has A LOT more features than I could have expected. I’ve owned this stereo for a few months and I’m still finding new features that really add up to one great stereo.

I highly recommed it, it is a good unit.
I Installed it in my 2003 Nissan Xterra, with a backup camera. I like it, easy to use. The GPS is not so easy to use, the stereo has the option to set an anti-theft code.
