My go-to pedalboard cables
When building out a pedalboard, these are my go-to cables. I've built out three boards now using these. While they're not alone in being transparent and easy to assemble, what sets them apart for me is the tiny size of the plug heads and their ability to be either straight or right-angle. That makes it easier for me to minimize the space between pedals and also to accommodate pedals with closely bunched plugs.

Disappointing
I had purchased a few years ago and made some nice cables.. with this latest batch I made 10+ cables and not one worked. I know how to make the cables, as I've built and used them in the past. I suspect the plugs are shoddy. This my 2nd order, the first order showed up without the plugs.. waste of time.

NEVER AGAIN .....
Where do I start ..... Since I'm from North Carolina I decided to support the home team from North Carolina and purchased Disaster Area EVO solderless kit. Was very excited when they arrived but that faded quickly when attempting to build patch cables. Every cable I built did not work and my fingers became raw after so many attempts. I followed the instructional videos and did exactly as told and somehow managed to get a few to work second time around. I am constantly touring and playing shows and I will say these cables do not meet my demands. I need complete reliability in a rugged environment. I will give props to the Alexander pedals they make and I still use those. When I tried to call customer service there was never an answer and I was told via email they do not speak to customers on the phone. I mean really?? I used cable testers the whole nine yards and it took me days to get enough cables made for a show. At the show my effects Loop seemed to be malfunctioning and I took my amp to my tech for repair and he informed me nothing was wrong and I almost considered selling my amp. Luckily one day I accidentally bumped one of the cords and my effects Loop worked perfectly. After months of thinking my amp was bad but it turned out to be one of the Evo cables, all that headache and repair bill for one cable after months and months I'm thinking it was my amp. I have never reviewed a product before this but feel strongly that I had to tell my story to save anyone else what I went through. I immediately bought another kit from a manufacturer in my area 3 Monkeys and built 14 cables back to back with no failure. Regretfully I cannot recommend this product.

Most Appropriately Named Cables Ever!
I was really excited about rigging up my new Temple Audio pedalboard which has these tiny holes on top which you can supposedly run solderless cable through in order to keep it "tidy". I have used solderless cable before (specifically George L cable) which albeit is a little expensive, however it worked. I can't say so much for the Disaster Area Evo cable, because ... well, it doesn't. I takes several tries to get a real connection, which is annoying because there are two jacks on every cables and who knows which doesn't connect well. For all you Temple Board owners out there, who know what its like to wire a Temple Board, its like trying to lace up a pair of Payless sneakers and then add the solderless jacks, which you now need to test on either side of the board, and the cable gets shorter and shorter each time you try and get a solid connection. And if it takes multiple tries, I'm skeptical about how these things will hold up live.I give them two stars because the cable was flexible, as advertised, but I'm not buying these things again. Spend the money on George Ls or some other quality cable. I'm going back to the soldered stuff.

I hope these are better
I bought a few sets of the older version and they really sucked. A lot of plugs were defective and didn’t work. I know the problem was the plugs because I tried the same piece of cable with George L’s and then there was no problem. I couldn’t write the review then because they stopped selling them so I hope this Evo thing is better because I felt ripped off with the ones I bought.

HUGE upgrade from my last solderless cables!
I made a dozen EVO cables for my pedalboard update and I'm pretty impressed with them. The plugs are tiny and the cables are narrow and flexible, so it was very easy getting everything hooked up. It wasn't just easier to make things compact, but getting it all plugged in wasn't as much of a chore because the wire is plenty bendy. It was also FAST compared to the Planet Waves cables with the right angle plugs that I had been working with. Most of the cables worked perfectly right away and the ones that didn't were a quick fix. As long as you cut them clean and screw in the ground screw far enough you shouldn't have any problems. Great support from Disaster Area Designs as well.

Badass Mono 1/4” Cable Set
This set is incredibly easy to use and re-use. You can attach the cables incredibly securely, they don’t stick far out of the jack at all, and the cable can be routed in either direction from the plug, and removing the cables from the plugs if necessary is as easy as unscrewing a retaining bolt - which stays in securely otherwise.Even if all you were looking for is a right angle 1/4” cable, this is a really solid option.Top notch product.
