This butterfly paint-by-number kit has a lot going for it. The design comes pre-printed on canvas, which is a major plus; there is no need to purchase a separate frame if you want to display it when you’re done. It also includes a small easel, which made the painting process much more convenient. The last time I did a paint-by-number, I had to tape it down to keep it from sliding around, so having an easel included was appreciated. That said, this kit is probably not ideal for beginners. There are quite a few small, detailed areas, and having a greater range of brush sizes would have helped. If you’re new to painting or do not have a steady hand, it may feel a little overwhelming. Some of the paint colors do not exactly match the reference sheet or the packaging, but based on previous paint-by-number kits I have done (including ones from craft stores), this seems fairly standard. Still, it is helpful that the kit includes those reference images. Despite the difficulty, I really liked it. The butterfly design is cute, and even though I am still a beginner when it comes to painting, I have been enjoying the process. If the final result is not perfect, that is fine by me; the important part is that I had fun working on it.

Disgusting. The paint needs to be diluted with water, maybe it's written about it somewhere, but I didn't notice. However, some colors are so dry that nothing will help at all. I don't recommend buying it.
