The gravity fed grinding mechanism works great and the grind speed is fantastic.The device is sturdy and looks smart. Be warned each mill takes 6 AAA batteries so if you are ordering I’d order some cheap AAA’s at the same time

I loved this salt & pepper set. It looks attractive. Very sturdy and easy to use. The downfall to me is that only purchased this item in June by the end of July, despite changing the batteries it no longer worked. I have found it very difficult to get in touch with anybody to complain about this purchase.

To date, this is a great grinder. Once I appreciated that the grind head can be easily adjusted there's been no turning back. I've only given it a 3 rating on battery life because I haven't had it long enough to make a proper evaluation but it's running as as new with the same set of batteries after nearly two months use. This a great grinder. We only use it for pepper but am sure it would work well with salt.

Bought this to grind pepper while cooking, when often one doesn't have a spare hand. My previous electric grinder required a button to be pressed. This one requires you simply to tilt it, and works a treat. Looks good too. If there's a downside it's that you can accidentally start grinding if you knock it over, but the unit is pretty steady and has, one might say, ample girth. I bought a second grinder for spices - cumin, coriander and the like - which it also makes light work of. There's a pleasing, futuristic blue light while grinding. Not sure why it's not white, but anyhow ... who knew that you could say so much about a pepper grinder?

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  These look great and the work really well, no more grinding away using a manual mill for me! They came as a pair and you'll need to provide 6 (yes 6!) AAA batteries per mill.You'll see in the review video it takes no time at all to set these up. The only thing I forgot to mention on the video is that the black section on top is prone showing up marks, e.g. if you grab it when cooking and get oil or something on them.Otherwise very happy, not had them long, hopefully the 6 batteries won't need replacing for ages!

I ordered a set of these for my parents but after the first couple of months the salt pot adjuster stopped working and the salt came out like rocks instead of ground salt, as my parents were so disappointed but still loved the product I ordered a second set in hope that it was just a bad batch the first time, unfortunately that was not the case as the second set is now not useable for the same reason, very disappointed as it is not possible to return the item as faulty and feel I will have no option but to pursue a replacement in a different way.

With my arthritic hands I love the fact that I don't have to press a button to get this to work. Simply tilt and the salt/pepper comes out. Very easy to regulate how fine/coarse you want the salt or pepper to be. I have had numerous mills in the past but they all seem to have an inherent fault, which is after a while the bottom parts from the top whilst you are pressing the button to grind, usually ending with the bottom half of the mill falling into whatever I am cooking. No chance of that happening with this one. I liked the salt one so much I bought one for pepper. My neighbour, on seeing them, has also bought a pair.

I have been using electric mills for some time and these resolve all of the complaints I have with the others.1. Storage - They don't need filling every two weeks.2. Reliabilty - The contacts do not not contact salt directly so they don't corrode3. Mess - The Open end is at the top so there's not salt or pepper splilling out each time they're piut down.I wish I had been able to get these sooner.
