Fantastic color and amazing quality!
I ordered this color specifically to print this Daredevil in so it would deduce the amount of painting that it would need. It is absolutely the best color for his suit! It is also the best spool of PLA I have run to date. Perfect diameter, no kinks, tangles, clogs, etc. I had good results with 3D Solutech white so I had to go with this and now I will be only purchasing 3D Solutech filament after this. The detail I was able to achieve with this filament is mind blowing. Couldn't get that with other brands. Excellent price as well!Printed with CR-10s

Beautiful Red filament for the Money!
I love this red filament. This has a nice darker tone that most red filaments don't have. I run this filament about 210 to 205 and run the bed about 50 to 60 degrees. This filament just runs good and doenst give me any problems. This is my go to filament every time. Now if they will start restocking the refill master spools. Since I run Capicorn bowden tubing this has the right diameter for my tubing. Which I find that some of the cheaper filament causes binding in my tubing when I run them.

Great filament
The media could not be loaded. This filament I bought on a whim and glad I did the color is amazing and the print quality is also. I had great adhesion out of and not a single clog while using it to print gifts.

Love the color. Love the price. Wish it was more consistent with other Solutech PLA
I think this is my 15th spool of 3D Solutech PLA. I've tried other suppliers, but I keep coming back to 3D Solutech. I like the price and I love the consistency between colors. I also like to look for the stickers in the box and hear the satisfying hiss when I cut into the package.I've been printing Christmas trees for my Girlfriends cubicle at work. I thought, since I just got this Merlot form Amazon, I'd make a few in different colors. Since I've been using pretty much the same profile for all the 3D Solutech PLA for a while now, a change in color shouldn't have been an issue. It's actually one of the things I appreciate about 3D Solutech Filament. I can slice an STL and run any color without having issues. I've even changed color mid-print without issues.Until today, I tried to run an ornament using my usual settings. I got a jam after only a few layers. I didn't make the connection at first. I just ran three trees in a row using green PLA. The only thing I changed was the filament to the brand new roll of Merlot. I got clicking from the extruder and under extrusion almost immediately. At 205!!I'm not really upset. I'll try to raise the temp and probably run a temperature tower. However, I am concerned, PLA should flow just fine at 205. In fact, I'm back to green as I type this without issue. So, am I warning you to stay form 3D Solutech? Absolutely not!! This is a great product at a good price. I'll be buying more material from them, just to see the stickers if nothing else!! ;-D

Tough Stuff!
Early on in my 3D printing experience I found PLA to be brittle, fragile and generally weak material. But I should not have been generalizing - becausee all PLA filaments are NOT the same! Not even close. I happened upon the Solutech PLA filament by ordering a spool of this lovely Merlot red. It is easy to work with - I get nice prints. But I have been blown away by the strength of this material. I've now been through 3 spools of Merlot. I've also ordered other PLA colors from Solutech to see if those are as strong as the Merlot - but I haven't tried the other colors yet. I guess that's because I'm stuck on the Merlot!

Consistent and Good looking!
I'm running this on a Creality Ender 3 and it works great! I'm printing my first 2 layers at 210 with a 65 degree bed, then dropping to 205 with a 60 degree bed for the remainder and have been happy with first layers and print quality. I've had no spooling issues. The color is very nice in my opinion. I'm looking forward to trying more colors from Solutech. Well done!

Nice color but bad spool
3 stars because it's a nice shade, but the spool I received was terrible. It was packaged quite nicely, but the filament had damage from moisture and multiple tangles. Adhesion was finally achieved with a glue stick and 65c on the bed. Print quality is pretty rough, but I'm hoping it gets better. I really like this red and this isn't my first spool from the company.. But it's the worse I've had from them.

What an absolutely gorgeous color!
Pictures do not do this filament color justice, it is gorgeous. Such a rich, deep reddish-purple. They must have nailed it because my wife said "They should call this merlot"!Prints great at 210-220 on the two printers I've tested with. Nice and smooth with a semigloss to glossy finish.Packaged well in box, vaccum sealed inside with dessicant and stickers. Absolutely will order again.

Color
My son ordered this for me for Christmas as it was on my wish list and the filament itself is great however the color is not anything like the picture shown, more brown than red, I was so excited to try this out and so disappointed with the resulting color.

Ok, but pretty brittle.
It has a nice rich color, but I find it to actually be very brittle after printing. And is prone to line breaks while printing. Not the best product I have bought from Solutech.
