It is vibrant and fun. My sons like them a lot and make meal times a little more interesting for them.

I purchased this placemat because I wanted reinforce the ABCs with my son and have something that looked nice on our table. The art on the Animal Kingdom placemat is definitely great and doesn't lend itself to looking "babyish" or "cheap". However, after just a few weeks of use, my son somehow creased or wrinkled this placemat and now it doesn't look as nice as one would hope. I supposed one way to fix the problem would be to laminate it upon receipt, but then that cheapens the look as well. I wish the manufacturer made this mat a little thicker, as that would probably help in with its durability. It is great looking, though!

This place mat is very nice to look at but after food dried on it i tried to scrub it with a sponge and the ink scraped off like it was butter! Ink also wipes off if anything scrapes on it including plates and forks.

Very colorful and exciting to my 23 month old. Unfortunately, after the first few times of wiping with a scrubby sponge it started fading dramatically and took on a foggy look that made it dull and uninviting to him. Also, it really needs a non-stick back. It slides all over the place on a wooden table. I would not buy again.

I've had a hard time finding placemats online for my very picky eater (21 mos old). The various alphabet and number Crocodile Creek placemats are really pretty and make eating a lot more fun for my daughter. We practice counting and letters and naming animals and naming colors during meals. I put pieces of chicken or pasta on the various animals and it helps her to want to eat them! So the placemat is worth its weight in gold to me. The problem is that the color scratches off somewhat easily (I had read in other reviews that this would happen). We've only had them a few weeks and it's pretty noticeable. But until I find something this good that is more durable, I would probably just buy more of these.

I bought several of these with various patterns, a move I regret. I should have bought several of the same design, because my kids love them so much that they fight over which one they're going to eat with. I had actually expected it to be a little thicker and padded, but they are flat and thin, about the thickness of a CD but flexible- they can be rolled up. They hold up well to spills, although chewing on it does cause some wear and tear.

Love the pictures or graphics. Seems to be getting scratched easily after 6 months to a yr. but we have out all the time.

Overpriced, can get other placemats at the store cheaper. The print is cute enough and I like that the animal names are listed around the edges. I did throw it in the dishwasher one day to disinfect, which I'm sure Isn't recommended, and it did fade significantly.

The design is lovely, but when you wash it the print peels off very easily. Shame… Images loved by the little ones, though
