I could not stop reading until I read every last word.
Excellent. Makes me want to fall on my face and cry out to God in repentance for any place in my life where exaltation of the self in ministry may have eclipsed glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ. Also it is a huge confirmation to my heart regarding certain things now prevalent in the charismatic movement that simply have not been feeling quite right from certain non-biblical questionable manifestations to elitism of certain groups and diabolical need for control by some leaders in the movement. Please read this book if you are serious about pursuing the call of God in your life with a deeper love of the truth and spiritual integrity. I know for myself I believe the standard has been raised, and I feel strongly the Holy Spirit will often bring my mind back to the godly wisdom and counsel of this book !

An important read
A very important book, well researched and written. This book will help clarify what many have witnessed taking place in so called "Christian" churches, as there are churches that have departed from what was originally intended. For those that love truth, and for those that seek it, this is a must read.

Does the manifestation contradict scripture? Does it glorify and point to Jesus?
Insightful book by a charismatic believer examining the unbalanced and biblically questionable practices within the charismatic sphere as it pertains to deceiving spirits. As a charismatic myself, it's refreshing to see a book on this topic by an insider, one who believes in the non-cessation of the charismata. I appreciated the personal experiences he provided throughout the book and the practical tests he formulated for testing the spirit behind a particular manifestation. Any supernatural manifestation of the Spirit should always glorify and point to Jesus, not exalt man or the manifestation itself. I highly recommend this book, which I devoured in less than 24 hours.
