Dr. Scholl'swomens Brilliance Wide Calf Riding Boot

I have wide calves. These boots fit perfectly and they were really comfortable. I also like the factthat they look good dressy or casual.

This is a comfortable boot and it Zips up fine with my big calves I love that it doesn't have stretching material. It's made for wide calves. The only downside is the faux leather looks like faux leather.

Size:: This is not the first Dr scholl's shoes I've owned. Previously, I have bought a size 10 which is my normal size. So that is what I ordered. I feel like they fit appropriately.Wide Calf Size:: there is a smidge of extra room around the top of my calves but not by much. I recently lost 45 pounds & I fear that if I hadn't done that these probably would not have fit my calves. Not sure what the calf width is compared to other side calf boots, something to consider when deciding to purchase.Comfort:: As always with Dr Scholl's shoes, the foot bed in the shoes are cushioned and comfortable. I have worn these once for running errands on a very cold rainy day. They kept my feet and calves dry & very warm.However, after an hour and a half of walking and driving, walking and driving my feet became very sore along the sides of my pinky toes as well as the ball joint of the feet. I've never needed to buy wide shoes for comfort reasons in the past, so I believe this is something that will fade away as the boots wear in. The heel is very slightly higher than boot heels I've bought in the past so that may okay a role as well.The boots are a somewhat soft leather like feel but also stiff in a manner that they stand on their own. You don't have to stuff the boots for them to stand upright in the closet.Durability:: I was disappointed to see that the heel is beginning to peel where the heel meets the soul of the shoe after only one wear. Something I'll have to keep an eye on, possibly super glue down if this becomes more noticeable.Packaging:: I appreciate that these boots are not bent in half on the claf & instead are packaged upright with no bending to the boots. I always feel this cheap poor packaging trick wears the boots down before you even buy them so I was happy to see the packaging!Overall:: I really like the boots! I think they're a classic style that won't fade away. They can easily be dressed up or down. For the price I think you get what you pay for. They're nice boots that seem durable considering they're not genuine leather. Contemplating a purchase of them in black!

I went up a size on these and they are still hard to wear all day they do hurt my feet

These boots have a great design, good for personal and professional wear. Wide calf boots don’t always fit well so I was surprised with the comfort in the calf width. They were snug around the ankles but not a deal breaker for me. The heel is solid and provides a small height increase, the soles extremely comfortable with good grip. My only problem with these boots is that the toe tapers and squishes my toes. My shoe size is consistent and I ordered my normal size, but my toes go numb when standing in these boots after a while. I’m hoping they will stretch a bit so my toes are as comfortable as the rest of my foot.

Yes,it is a wide calf boot, but before you order it, I would measure your calf- these were too floppy for my style... other than that, a BEAUTIFUL boot, just seemed like it ran small on the size

The shoe fir very well, but the calf is very wide. A good sign I must have lost weight!

These are very nice boots, but they should be considering the price. While I liked how they looked they were quite small length-wise.I normally wear a size 10 or 11, but ordered an 11 because I saw they ran a bit small. Despite opting for the bigger size, the boots were still quite tight on my toes and would have been very uncomfortable to wear.The width of the calf was more than adequate, however, and I would have been able to zip them up over jeans and thick socks without a problem and with room to spare.Ultimately I had to return them, but I do wish they had fit, because I love how they looked.

I expected these to be a bit more comfortable. My feet are a normal width but I found these a bit too narrow

These boots will not accomodate 18" calves. I know this because I have 17" calves and boots did not zip up easily. The measurement listed is actually the outer circumference of the boot itself, which is also padded up the entire shaft of the boot. Therefore, this means that even with my 17" calves, I had a hard time zipping up the boots at the last couple inches before the top. I was not be able to wear leggings or pants underneath. It was already tight with only bare legs which is not acceptable for winter. It would be impossible to wear these over jeans. Even with bare legs and 17" calves, the thin plastic zipper may still break after a week because boots are a tight squeeze since the listing is the outer diameter and doesn't account for the inside padding. They are comfy though, just not wide enough at the calves.

I wide calves and these fit perfectly. The largest part of my calf is a 17.75" (45.085cm) and I was very happy when I could zip the boots up all the way. Very comfortable boots - highly recommend :-)
