Fast, Easy, and Surprisingly Quiet Ice Cream Maker
’ve been using the Gasbye ice cream maker with the upgraded compressor, and it has been fantastic from the very first batch. The biggest selling point for me was the fact that you don’t need to pre-freeze anything, and it delivers on that completely. I’ve owned a few ice cream makers over the years—including the types where you have to freeze the bowl for a full day—and this one is in a different league. You plug it in, pour in your mix, and you’re making ice cream right away. No planning ahead, no shuffling freezer space around. The freezing speed really stands out. The “40% faster” claim actually holds up, and it chills the mixture quicker than any older unit I’ve owned. I can make a batch, scoop it out, and immediately start the next one without any cooldown period. For a 2.1-quart capacity machine, that kind of turnaround is a big win when you’re making ice cream for multiple people. Another thing I appreciate is that it’s not too loud. Compressor units usually make a bit of noise, but this one is much quieter than I expected. It’s more of a steady hum than anything disruptive, so you can run it in the kitchen while doing other things without feeling like it’s taking over the room. That’s a huge plus compared to the older, rattlier machines I’ve used in the past. The LED display and controls are simple to use, which makes the whole experience more enjoyable. You pick your mode, set your time, and let the machine take over. I’ve tried both ice cream and yogurt settings, and everything has turned out consistently smooth. The stainless steel body looks clean on the counter and is easy to wipe down after use. What impressed me most is the texture. The machine produces consistently creamy batches without icy crystals, whether I’m making fruit mixes, chocolate, or something thicker like peanut butter. Even after it finishes, the cooling mode keeps everything from melting while you get your bowls or toppings ready. Overall, it’s an easy five stars. Fast freezing, no pre-freezing required, great texture, simple controls, and it’s surprisingly quiet for a compressor model. If you want high-quality ice cream without any of the hassle, this machine is absolutely worth it.

Ice Cream All Day Long
Yes, this is a great purchase. The machine is the size and quality that they describe. It is heavy so have a dedicated space to store it once used. I have to say that I was making ice cream almost every 3 days. Until I bought storage containers to keep more in the freezer. Kid friendly to use. The ice cream takes between 40-60 minutes depending on what you are making. The noise level is low not quiet but not disturbing. The cleanup is so quick. A great addition to our kitchen.

Only a twenty minute wait for our sorbet
First, you do not need to pre freeze anything. When we are in the mood for a cold sweet treat, we want it now - not tomorrow. It’s easy to use and works quickly. To test it, I blended two cans of unsweetened peaches with a teaspoon of lemon juice and poured it into the bowl. Turned the machine on and 20 minutes later we had homemade sorbet. If you make another batch right behind the first, it’s important to wash and dry the ice cream bowl completely, otherwise the water on the bowl will freeze first and your new creation won't. This makes everything: soft serve ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, margaritas AND actual yogurt. The frozen yogurt we made was delicious too. I’m looking forward to using this during the holidays. Awesome purchase and worth the money for homemade frozen desserts.

Fantastic ice cream maker
Hey there, I bought this ice cream maker in November 2025 and shortly there after moved to a new house. We recently set it up and have been fantastically amazed at the quality of ice cream were getting. Its delicious. The recipes are awesome and easy to make. We've even made two batches back to back and had great success in both batches. Nothing negative to say about this machine. Once the ice cream is made and frozen, you must wait awhile to let it thaw before scooping. We love, love, love it.

Meh
Things you should know: 1.) You will need to freeze it after churning to get ice cream consistency. It will churn for 30 minutes then the paddle will freeze to the bottom of the container. QUICKLY stop the machine as it will burn the motor up if you don’t. This will get you to milk shake consistency. You must then freeze it to get it to ice cream texture. 2.) You will need to let the machine sit for 12 hrs before using it. My daughter was counting down the minutes until it got here and was disappointed when she opened the box and read the huge bold words saying to wait. 3.) Don’t plan on making multiple batches. The first one will work fine, but if you try to use it again (within an hour) the metal tub freezes quickly and will stick and not work. We tried drying the sides and the bottom, letting it defrost for a long time, etc. Nothing worked. Just make it fresh each time. 4.) We like having ice cream each night for dessert so we make 3-4 quarts of basically unfrozen ice cream mix, put them in mason jars, and stick them in the fridge. This way we don’t have to make the base each day, only twice per week. You can make each mason jar a different flavor this way too. 5.) For the $230 price tag I’m disappointed that it doesn’t make it the consistency of true ice cream and that you have to go the extra step of freezing.

We love it
Amazing ice cream maker. It is heavy, but not to big for counter top.

Fresh Ice Cream in 30 Minutes, What a Treat!
This machine is so much fun. It truly makes the ice cream in 30 minutes. I had extra fruit so I whipped up the banana ice cream and then made a batch of strawberry yogurt ice cream with recipes from the booklet that came with it. I used fresh cream, milk, and eggs and pure cane sugar. I also made coffee ice cream as a gift for my friend’s birthday. For this recipe I warmed 2c. Heavy whipping cream, 1 c. Sugar and 1/4 tsp. Sea salt over medium heat and whisked to dissolve sugar. I beat 4 egg yolks in a separate bowl, added 1/2 c. Of the warm mixture to the egg yolks, whisked and add to rest of warm Mixture. I whisked in 1 tbsp instant dark roast coffee till dissolved. Heated mixture over medium low heat stirring continuously until slightly thickened and reached 170 degrees F. Placed 1 c. Milk in bowl (big enough to hold all ingredients) and placed fine mesh strainer on top of bowl. Strain warmed mixture into bowl. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla extract. Cool completely in refrigerator in air tight container. Transferred to ice cream maker bowl and churned 30 minutes. All recipes were a hit with friends and family that tried them. I would recommend chilling mixture before adding to ice cream maker to ensure the inside and outside Mixture chill evenly. I also recommend finding the freshest and best ingredients possible to treat those enjoying the products. Because this works so quickly you could easily make several different batches to fill an afternoon with kids or preparing for family get togethers or parties. I’m pretty sure two of my friends will be buying this machine because they were so impressed with the results.

The Best Ice Cream!
WHAT A GREAT PURCHASE!! Worth every dollar. Easy and fun, the ice cream is smooth, creamy, and delicious. Prepared two batches not easily found in the grocery store…vanilla chocolate chip and banana chocolate chip. Churned up in less than 30 minutes. Indulge immediately as soft serve or give it at least 4 hours in the freezer as hard serve.
