Perfect boots
As a farmer I've bought many wellies, from Hunters, Chameau, Rylands, other models of Muck boots etc. but these Gretas are by far the best and the only ones I have bought a second time. I can't fault them. They fit perfectly, they are warm and comfortable and I wear them all day, all seasons. Some people have said the top is too loose, but it is stretchy and it fits whether you wear thick or thin trousers, and the grip around the ankles is firm. I have average sized legs for 10 stone, and the boots always feel firm and very comfortable. If you look after them they last very well, you just have to be careful when climbing barbed wire fences not to tear the fabric top part of the boots. Since my first pair I have only bought these boots, and I do like the dark navy colour.

Finally a pair of wellies that fit!
For years I have been searching for a wellington boot that fits my large calfs and normal width feet, having been resorting to expensive leather country boots which always end up leaking. Initially I tried on various different styles of Muckboot - Arctic, Chore and Muckmaster but the Greta II was the best fit of them all. I was happily surprised that they fit my 17.5" calfs with plenty of room to spare for tucking in trousers - they probably wouldn't be too good if you have skinny legs. Initially I thought they were very clumpy due to the massive soles, however, you get used to them pretty quickly. The soles give them great stability, which I needed for walking across uneven, boggy ground, and the neoprene top hugs the legs, keeping them firmly in place (and any insects, dirt, etc out). They are also the only wellingtons where my socks have not been pulled off my feet. They look substantial and hopefully will last a long time. The only gripe I have is they are a bit difficult to get on and off, being as they fit so well. I have found turning down the neoprene top when taking them off helps.

Good boots
My calf measures 46cm and I usually take a 5 - sometimes a 5.5. I ordered a 6 and they are generous on the foot (giving room for a thick sock) and really comfortably on the calf. I am not sure that a size 5 would have fit as well. The boots are warm and nice to walk in - I take my dog for a field walk for about an hour whenever I can and wanted a long boot that would be comfortable to walk in and keep my legs a bit drier that a wellibob type boot or walking boot. These do the trick. They do feel quite clumpy and heavy so if you're after a sleek feeling style, this wouldn't be it.

Great for big calves
I have large calves and have never found wellies that fit me properly. I did a tonne of research online and stumbled across these. I was worried that they were expensive and may not fit me as I'd had terrible luck and aren't great at sending things back. But I'm soo glad I took the risk as they actually fit, are soo comfy and look fab! Soo happy I purchased these!

A little on the larger side - would be great if Muck did half sizes
These boots are very practical. Very warm and waterproof. A little on the larger side - would be great if Muck did half sizes. However - generally worn when thick socks are required so ideal. Only downside is that they are heavy. Once on - you don't notice. This boot would work very well for women who have an issue getting long boots over their calf. Nice a wide. Definitely not suitable if you have slim calves.

Sloppy around the calf.
I ordered these boots as I have had a pair of Greta 1 muck boots since 2009 and needed to replace them. I was so disappointed when they arrived as the design has been changed. The biggest issue for me was that the measurement around the calf is way to big. My old boots hug my calf’s and keep the leg secure and warm. They are also slightly higher so came right up to my knee and a small issue that they didn’t have the kick tab to help pull them off. I have returned them.

Best boots ever
Not sure how I managed without these boots. I use mine at the allotment, and they are still comfortable at the end of the day. Thanks to a previous review, I bought a size larger than I normally wear to fit thick socks, and the generous width fits my large calves. Will definitely replace them with another pair in future.

Nice wellies but wide on leg
Good sturdy boots keep your feet really warm but very wide on the leg so rain etc goes downI was an hunter fan until my last pair split after 3 months so thought would try muck boots. So far living up to the reviews but just disappointed with how wide they are should do a slim version.
