Family game
Great family game for all ages

This game is great for playing with friends and family remotely. It can be played with everyone together in one room as well, but so can a million different trivia games. What makes this unique is the ability to let others join the game and play with you remotely. They do NOT need to have their own version of the game. A code pops up for you to give to them and they can play via a free app on their phone or tablet. We have family all in various locations and have had so much fun playing this together with them. Basics of the game: It is very similar to trivial pursuit in concept. You move around the board answering trivia questions based on the categories you choose. We got the Ultimate Edition because it came with more categories, but you can actually buy a new category for $3.49 (at the time of writing this) in their online store. We also already won a free one from a "Golden Question" they asked at the end of our game. Variety and Choices: In Trivial Pursuit you have to complete all categories to get to the final challenge. In this game, you can choose to complete two categories (called rings) or four or six. You choose when you set it up. You can choose how it is handled in terms of timing attempts, bonus play, turning on assists like in 50/50, skip the question, and extra time. You can turn these things on or off and control how many assists are given to each team. It also allows you to select the age group (child, teen, and adult) of a player to make the questions fit their age range better. Electronic device not optional: When you see the pictures of the game, you see the board and player pieces, and dice. That sort of implies you can play without using an electronic device like a phone or tablet. You cannot. The questions come from the device. You can do all the rolling and moving around the board on the pieces in the box or using the app, but you can only do the questions and submit answers on the device using the game app (which is free). You only need one device to play it and you can easily mirror your device to a TV for better group viewing though. I got this game to play remotely with people so this feature didn't bother me, but it might bother others. If you are looking for a traditional sit around a board and read questions and answer trivia game, this is not that. The good part is that the questions are very up-to-date and you can add new question packs over time since it is app based. Final Thoughts: Very much recommend for playing remotely with others. Also recommend for everyone in a room together as long as you understand you will need to use a tablet or phone to do the questions and submitting answers. Would not recommend if you are looking for a traditional sit around the table trivia game.

Absolutely the greatest game our family has ever played. Questions and categories are appropriate for 3 age levels and our grandkids especially like choosing the Harry Potter category because they know us old folks will get stuck on it. Great fun

This is by far my family’s favourite board game. This is a great board game for the entire family, whether they’re under the same roof or in a completely different area (family/friends can actually play remotely with the Outsmarted App! It’s pretty great) There is a tonne of content for every age-group included in the base game which, after multiple play-throughs we’ve not managed to get half way through, making every game unique. On top of that, the question content is updated regularly with current events keeping the game fresh and relevant. The Outsmarted team also have additional content packs for purchase (usually at discounted prices) which extends the game even further. If you love quiz-style family board games, you’re probably going to love this. We certainly did!

Juego muy divertido. Lo mejor es poder jugar a distancia con otras personas.

What a great game, like a new age trivial pursuit. App/internet based means questions are constantly updated. Such as the winner of the last superbowl, or a breaking news category that has recent events in it. And being app based, the ability to play with friends anywhere made it that much better. Have a game night with friends that live out of town, you can now with Outsmarted. Couldn't recommend this game enough
