I have the RT85 and Yes, it has auto stop. There is a switch on the back of the turntable so you can choose auto stop or just let the album keep spinning when the stylus reaches the inner groove. This is really cool for the handful of albums that have something in the inner groove. A few examples are- The Beatles Sgt Pepper, Side 4 of The Eagles live, Ringo The 4th. They just keep going...

What is the difference between fluance rt84 and fluance rt85?

I am confused by some of the responses as from my research, the RT84 is about $115 less, not $50, and BOTH TTs have the Ortofon Blue, which is really hard to believe with the Fluance RT84 being under 385 bux!!!! That is even less than the renowned Pro-Ject Debut Carbon with the much less expensive (but also great) Ortofon Red cartridge. The only difference I can see is the heavier Acrylic platter on the 85 versus aluminum on the 84, and thus about a 2 pound weight difference on the two TTs. Maybe that is worth the extra $115 bux that I am seeing in the pricing right now, don't know. Definitely a good upgrade tho.

I have to downgrade my stylist to a ortofon 10. do i need a different cartridge? like a ortofon super i’m

if you can, stay with the blue or red is $$ is an issue, I am in awe of the quality it brings to the playback, when I get some $$$ i'll upgrade the uplevel black (or better) stylus, again, very impressed with the Ortofon line
