Incredible fire lighting cubes 5*
To say that I am very impressed with these cubes is an enormous understatement. I had previously tried liquid fuel to get a garden bonfire started and it burned for a few minutes and went out. I used 2 sachets, one at each corner and over the course of the next 5-6 hours the whole bonfire was cleared. They are so easy to light and the burn time is 15+ minutes so that they ensure everything is well alight. I would recommend these to anyone who was looking for a cost effective lighting solution.

Leaves residue
First time using these, 11 min burn time, 6 mins boiling time of tap water, ( differ water temps =different boil times) very easy to lite the flame is strong, after the fuel is spent there is a small amount of residue which is, what do be expect when using solid gel fuel tablets, but good value for what it is

Burns well if a little messy
One gell cube thing burns for quite some time and very hot. They burn really clean too. One issue I have with these is that they melt into goo and basically turn into napalm once lit so be very careful! Put them exactly where you want them when you light them, and make sure they won't slide anywhere because once lit you're not getting them off that surface until they've burned out or are put out. Also buyer beware they're a little bit too big for the famgee alcohol burner (which of course is not a criticism of the product, just a warning) cut them in half or go with the liquid if you intend to burn them in one of those.

Great
These are cool, I found if you take the gel out of the plastic container it floors and spills everywhere, so I ended up burning them inside their plastic, which does leave a little burnt plastic residue behind. They light very easily and burn a long time, I used 2-3 of them to boil a pot of water for 2 people. They're a great alternative to gas because you can't take gas on airplanes.

Does a job its not really designed to do.
My wife has a type of Thai bowl that, in Thailand, they use a type of candle burner that sits under it and keeps soups and curries warm whilst they wile away the evenings talking eating and drinking. She couldn't bring any of the fuel blocks over with her so have been looking to see if there is anything in England we could use as a substitute. Tried a fire lighter, way too dangerous. These are odourless and better, but not ideal Its like a jelly in a plastic container, she lit a full one and flames going through the central hole. They light easily and burn well, if only for a couple of minutes. Dont know how campers are meant to use them, they dont burn for long enough. I'm going to use them in conjunction with some charcoal, which should work better. These to me are more like a firelighter, which makes them expensive. I will have to upload a photo of the bowl and how we tried to use these.
