What is the difference between express and proplus?

According to their website. The pro can do more products.

has anyone found a version made in a country without a troll supporting war in ukraine?

War in Ukraine has nothing to do with pepper grinders. Stay on point and keep your personal political decisions to yourself.

Can this grind star of anise?

They are making more pods that will handle things other than salt & pepper. If what you want to grind is not oily I think it will work in either of the pods that come with the set. you'll find all sorts of info in the packaging

what is the size of the grinder without pod?

The grinder (without pod) is approximately 9" high and 3 ¼" around at base. When you push the pod into grinder, it adds about ½" to the height. The one I have is battery operated; however, it does not appear to be a difference in the size with the rechargeable type. I think it is a great item! Hope this helps.
