This is the perfect gadget for anyone who loves bubble waffles! After trying them at a local cafe, I decided to make my own, and this machine made it so easy. The compact design and nonstick surface are fantastic. It heats up fast, and the indicator light takes all the guesswork out of knowing when it's ready. The waffles cook up perfectly every time, and cleanup is a breeze—just a quick wipe with a damp sponge. Even a teenager could use this with no problem. It's totally worth it for a fun, easy, and delicious treat at home!

This is my second waffle maker; the first one lasted 7 years. I ordered this because it looks like there is less room at the hinge for the batter to fall in between. We like the waffle to be slightly crispy— this takes twice as long as before on the old waffle maker. It is too slow. One small batch takes an hour. This item is 1000 watts and the old one is 750 watts. Even with higher power it is slower. On a good note, you can make an awesome egg waffle with this.

This is my new favorite waffle maker. Perfect heat distribution, easy to clean…just a perfect unit. The cook time is right where is needs to be, and it never disappoints.

I made one recipe of waffles, which made 9 waffles. The first seven of them cooked, but not perfectly because the iron cannot be flipped. The top side cooks because the batter expands during the cooking. This is problem #1. Usually for an appliance that has two hot plates, each side has a handle, including those that don't flip. For instance, an Amazon brand sandwich press/waffle iron does not flip, and has a handle on each side. I burnt my finger from touching the edge of the bottom plate because it has no handle. There were a couple times the top plate is stuck that requires holding the top plate, while using a thong to hold on to the bottom plate to open it when the waffle is ready to come out. I did use nonstick spray before batter was poured. This is problem #2. Problem #3, the size of the dimples on the hot plates are too small, making the "bubble" part of the waffle too small, which is not the size of bubbles of the authentic HK style. It greatly affected the texture of the waffles. Overall size of the plate is ok for snack size waffles and I did check the product dimensions before purchasing. The build quality is ok for the price, but it failed a short time during first use, which is an indicator of durability and longevity. It is just another cheaply made generic small kitchen appliance that is out to the market in record time. Personally I do not have a problem with products like this, since I shop for products on Amazon all the time. This one just made it to #1 of list of being poorly designed and lack durability. It barely serves the function of making a bubble waffle look-a-like. However, there's one nice part in this appliance - the nonstick coating.

Kids and adults will love this waffle maker. Super easy to use, easy to clean. Will also tell you when it’s ready; green light will light up. Non stick material so will make your life so much easier, you won’t have to be struggling to remove waffle. Makes amazing waffles!!!!

It doesn’t cook the waffles evenly because when it bubbles, one side lifts up. It also does not tell you when its done so not a huge fan

Waffles come out good, however the machine takes a long time to make a waffle! I read the previous review, did my own testing, and it takes about 3.5min - 4mins to make one waffle. For a batter of 12 HK style bubble waffles, it took me nearly 40-50 mins. Machine is also a bit hard to clean, i will be giving the machine away. But waffles tasted amazing!

If there was a zero rating I would give it. It came used, uncleaned, very dirty. There still has batters around it.
