Highly recommend it! These shoes allowed me to hike the Swiss Alps, it kept my feet dry and comfortable through mud, water, rocks, and very incline paths. I didn’t have to use them before traveling, I just wore them there and there were immediately good to go. The design is pretty as well, and that’s always a plus.

The best hiking/trail shoes I’ve ever owned. I purchased a half size bigger than I usually wear for extra room in the toe area and so I could wear thicker hiking socks. They’re a perfect fit and work exceptionally well in steep terrain.

I bought this to hike in Canada. I need a lot of cushioning for long hikes and this one did not disappoint. IT's really comfortable right out of the box. Over several days, I hiked in the rain and this book kept my feet completely dry. I highly recommend it.

I like Merrells because they are supportive for my bad back. This pair is as well. However, in these early days, the tongues don't lay down well. Also, the rims at the top of the ankles at least for now are stiff and somewhat uncomfortable. Only time will tell if with more use these 2 flaws will soften and remedy themselves. Therefore, for my biggest need, the shoes are excellent. However, at least right now, these shoes don't meet the standards I expect from Merrell.
