I consider myself an amateur player with 40 years experience. I had a Hohner Little Lady for years until a reed finally went sour and recently purchased another. (Around $20). I tried this 3 pack of Swans just to see how they sounded in comparison. I was initially impressed with their sound, a little harder to blow/draw than the Hohner, but not bad. They are cute, colorful and came in neat little clear packages. Unfortunately, 2 started sounding flat almost immediately and then reeds actually fell out. (Luckily blow reeds!) The third already has at least 2 flat notes and is pretty useless except for making semi musical noise. I'm an old guy, so excessive wind pressure is not the culprit here.I knew was taking a chance with 3 for under $10, so lesson learned. (Did not return). They may have some novelty value, but did not last long when trying to use daily. I didn't get to use the chains, but they are pretty cheap looking. I gave 2 stars because they were playable and did sound pretty good at first and maybe you'd be lucky and get better made units.

Good value to get 3 for this price. Gave these as gifts for my sons. Two of my kids broke the attachment chains almost right away. The chains could be a bit sturdier. We were able to fix the chains though. I’m not sure what “sheerness” is that I’m supposed to be rating though. These work well!

Fun gift to give in their stockings!

I bought these to use as a classroom management tool. They were great while they lasted, but fell apart quickly.

The only thing I like is that it is lightweight so I wearbit like a necklace and use it to get attention from my class.The second one broke even faster. Total trash!
