Easy to install and works perfectly
I bought this as a replacement for a now discontinued model, the Gainsborough Style 400x.It was very simple to install, my husband did it himself no problem.The power and water connections are in the same place as they were in the older one.The cover of this one is bigger so it totally conceals the water pipe unlike with the older one where the pipe could be seen where it entered.It's working perfectly.

I was advised by Gainsborough that this was the best replacement for my old Gainsborough style 400 shower. Very pleased with the result, electrical and plumbing fitted with no changes, just a few extra fixing holes required. The shower is basic but very pleased with the flow/heat rates.

Disappointed
I bought this shower in March 2016 it was very weak compared to my last shower. the on off button didn't always turn off properly although it clicked, and now in January 2017 water has started spewing out of it and it has to be replaced as it is not the pipes but the shower itself!My last shower gainsborough 2000x lasted 12 years and cost half the price

Easy replacement unit
The Gainsborough web site gives excellent advice on what shower will be the most suitable unit to replace an existing Gainsborough unit and the ibstallation instructions supplied are easy to follow

Good value
Bought this shower as a replacement for our previous gainsborough that had given us many years of use.Fitted without any problems, which for me is a miracle in itself. Really can't fault this shower, it's very quiet, easy to use and for the price gives good value!Would recommend gainsborough showers to everyone :-)

Excellent replacement shower
Shower was easily installed. Performance is excellent and a definite improvement on the previous 8.5kW Triton which I replaced. I would recommend this shower to anyone requiring a replacement.

A fine shower but don't trust what's on their website!
They claim it's a one-for-one replacement for several of their older models, including the Stanza 850 which I had and wanted to replace. However, everything is different; the water inlet, the rear cutout, the mounting holes. I essentially had to move the water supply and re-tile; turned a £120 shower into £200 worth of building work.

Replacement Gainsborough Shower
Don't dislike anything with this shower, it is a replacement for a previous Gainsborough shower almost 18 years old, just feel value for money speaks for itself. However this one has much more power behind the spray so would recommend to anyone.
