This set by HerStyler comes with a wand-style curling iron and a full sized flat iron and a purse sized flat iron. It comes beautifully boxed and would make a very nice gift. Each tool is a deep teal color with a texture that makes it non-slip in your hand. That's a good thing since these things get really hot!The two flat irons have ceramic plates and are definitely ready to use within 30 seconds. When using a flat iron, remember to keep it in motion, sliding down each section of hair without stopping in any one place. Because ceramic plates emit negative ions, you'll be pleased to find it leaves your hair smooth and glossy and straight. You can add a gentle wave by twisting your wrist as you move along each section of hair. Because each of the two plates swivel in place, there is no pulling or tension on the hair as you are styling.The purse size flat iron heats up just as much as the full sized one and is perfect for touching up your hair on a humid or rainy day. It also has the swiveling ceramic plates so you can use it exactly as the full size one.The wand also heats up instantly and creates large, spiral style curls. If you use larger sections of hair and let the hair drop off the wand the minute you have the strand fully wrapped, you can get soft, beachy waves. If you use smaller strands and leave them on the wand a few seconds more, you will get large, individual spiral curls. This wand is tapered to the end which makes for nicer spiral curls IMO. There are lots of YouTube videos on how to use a wand-style curling iron if you've never done this before.I strongly suggest buying a couple of these heat resistant gloves to avoid small burns on your hands or wrists as you get used to using the wand. The tip gets as hot as the rest of the wand and it's easy to accidentally hit it with your arm.
