Five stars for being exactly what it says it is. This fit my chair perfectly and was easy to install per the simple directions that came with it. The chair looks better now and best of all it no longer drops pieces of deteriorating seat foam all over my floor.BUT! If you check online reviews of the Aeron you'll find that one of the biggest complaints about this chair is that for a lot of people it cuts into the back of their thighs and causes pain. Some people experience this, others don't. If you (like me) are one of the people that do experience this annoying pain from the Aeron don't think that installing a new piece of foam is going to help. It doesn't. At all. In fact it may even make it a tiny bit worse because it raises that front edge more than the old flattened falling apart cushion did. The only way I've found to get rid of that annoying pain on the back of my legs is to lower the chair quite a bit more than I do other office chairs so that there is a gap between the front edge of the seat and the back of my leg. Anyway, all of that is the chair's fault - not this product's fault, so still five stars for this easy $10 replacement.

After 20 years of use my Herman Miller Aeron was beginning to be a bit ragged around the edges. The wear parts were, well... getting worn. I recently replaced the hydraulic cylinder which fixed a slight wobble problem. This week I replaced the foam pad at the front of the seat pad which supports the backs of your legs. The OEM original was breaking down and shedding bits if foam.I purchased this replacement and it is firmer (a good thing) returning the like new comfort.I would recommend this replacement pad for anyone who is looking to return thier Herman Miller Aeron to like new comfort. I would buy this foam pad again.

It is way thicker than the original foam insert. I have scrolled through other reviews saying that you have to disassemble the chair but I was too lazy. Anyways, I took the old one out, use a dozen alcohol wipes to clean the residuals and stuff this in WITHOUT peeling off the double sided adhesive.Works well enough, but it is thicker than the original one and it may not be best to stretch the mesh this way. Time will tell.

Removing the previous foam/crumbled powder insert took the longest, but the alcohol wipes included in the package worked surprisingly well, compared to my own paper towel+isopropyl alcohol combo, most probably due to the texture of the wipe that was effective at removing old glue. After old goo was gone, I let it air dry and stuffed this insert replacement. After reading several reviews at how it's not possible to get it right on first attempt (hence do not remove adhesive strip when you first put it in), I decided I will stuff it in place first and see what happens. Well, turns out this was a good call. After it went in place I was pretty satisfied with how tight it fits in the position and how well it supports me when I sit on it, that I didn't bother with adhesives. Still works great!

The pad was a good replacement for my Aeron Chair. It may not be a 100% identical oem part in thickness and length but it's about 96% close and you won't know the difference. Matter of fact I replaced the foam in two chairs with this product. There are lost of "How To" replacement videos on the internet. I would suggest cleaning the old foam out really well, it could be a good time to just clean the entire chair or at least the seat bottom with soap and water and really concentrate on getting all the old grim out of the foam section.Before removing the two way sticky tape on the new foam, put the foam in place under the seat mesh really well almost like your trying to secure it permantely, then on one end of the seat mesh exert some good effort to push up on the mesh to access the two way tape backing then slowly peel away while keeping the foam pushed toward the front edge of the chair.

Fit like a glove, highly recommend…!!!

Love my OG Herman Miller Aeron chair but if I sit in it for long periods, the edge of the seat makes my legs sore.I had hoped that the thigh padding had flattened out and that this replacement would make a noticeable difference.The replacement foam was very easy to put in. Much to my chagrin, the new foam did not make much of a difference in the comfort of the chair. Maybe I have to get a new chair at this point.

Product meets the need. You will be challenged to justify the added cost of an original Herman Miller replacement part especially with this foam insert essentially hidden so no one really knows its not an original part.Easy to take off old foam because it was practically disintegrating over time. Sliding in the new foam was painless.
