Derm for Dogs (90 Chew Tabs)

I had never heard or read about this particular product. One of my Scottish Terriers had terrible allergies and I give him the regular Proanthozone that comes in capsules. He usually is very easy to give supplements like this to but he won't eat these. They're hard as a rock. He took one in his mouth, tried to chew it, and eventually spit it out. So, I'll try crushing them and adding them to his food if I'm able because I can barely cut this in two with a knife even though they're scored. Initially, I thought I might have received an expired product but the expiration date is 9/2024. So, I'll try crushing them or something and see if they help as much as the regular Proanthozone does.------UPDATEMy original rating was 3 stars but it's being update to 5. I contacted the company that makes these and they responded that they had changed their process to "press" the contents to make them harder because of complaints of the tables coming apart. I ended up purchasing another bottle from a veterinary supply and they were the same as these. Very hard. However, if you hold them right, they do break in half. As long as I break them into smaller pieces, my dog will eat them.Now, as far as results. I'm very pleased. My Scottish Terrier that has canine seborrhea that is caused by his allergies is doing much better. I've cut him back to 1/2 a pill of Temeril P and will most likely stop giving him the Temeril P completely. He's got a lot of energy and I can tell he's feeling great. So, I'm happy with the product and will continue to purchase it in the future.

My 14 y/o dachshund had NO hair on his ears or on his tail for several years. His ears looked lik bat wings; his tail like a rats tail. It has taken about 2 years of consistent dosing of proanthezone along with probiotics and an organic grain free diet his tail and ears are now almost completely recovered the fur. I did notice the results immediately as patches began filling in regularly; he was so nearly naked for so long that it just took awhile to fill back in entirety. He also had acne like bumps on his chest and belly; those have greatly diminished and I expect more progress with continued use. My other dogs are also not having random itching and shedding is minimized by regular use.I highly recommend this product; stay the course and I bet you will be glad that you did.

Our dogs coat seems to be much softer and healthier. I am waiting to see how it is in July when she typically has issues from her yearly big shed.

My 9yo rescue dogs (Hound+Shepard Mix) was having skin issues when I got him last year. He came from TX and brought him here to Seattle. His skin on the back area was scabby and reddish. We tried trying different types of dog food but that didn't work. I decided to try Proanthozone Derm since it had some great reviews from other folks with the same situation I was going through. I started out giving my dog 3 pills a day for a week and immediately noticed the difference and his skin was coming back to a normal and healthy again. I kept giving him 3 pills a day until the bottle ran out. I love it and this works great. I bought another bottle but only giving him one pill a day now.I would also like to say that I also gave my dog Vet's Best Seasonal Allergy Support Supplement pills along with Proanthozone Derm. I did the same with that - gave my dog 3 pills day. His itching went away too.

My vet recommended these tablets 7 years ago for our golden mix with skin issues. Since then, the combination of these tablets and Nutro Lamb and Rice food have completely cleared his itchy stomach and ear infections. Highly recommended!

I bought these because my vet thought it might help with a problem my dog is having.Now, I know this next part is my fault, but please read on after it: two of my dogs got into the bottle while I was at work and ate all of it while it was full minus three tablets.One had two seizures that night.The other had chronic explosive diarrhea.I took my dogs to a university level emergency veterinarian institute with multiple vets on duty for maximum care on our primary vet's recommendation.Here is the problem: All the vets on duty and our primary vet agreed the listed ingredients and contents shouldn't have caused any problems--even if my smaller 45lb dog had eaten the whole bottle himself, he shouldn't have had any problems, even with the zinc content.It leaves one to wonder: What is in these pills that isn't listed?Is it worth finding out the hard way?Do you want your dogs to have even the smallest amount of this unlisted ingredient that caused seizures in one dog, and massive bowl loss in another?I know my answer.And I sure wish I knew what hurt them, because without that answer, nothing more can be done to help my dogs if they are at risk for further complications, because we have no idea what is also in these that caused it to begin with.An update on the dogs: The full blood work taken an hour after the second seizure returned normal. They have recovered 24 hours later and are now safe from ever being exposed to anything this shady brand makes because I'll sure not ever buy it again.
