Coffee is as good as any other drip coffee maker I've ever had
Delivered Sep 9, 2016Your package was delivered.Track packageHamilton Beach 12-Cup Coffee Maker, Digital (49465)Sold by: Amazon.com LLC$15.00Condition: NewI read Milkweed's review and got this (for $15). It uses #4 Cone filters (optional mesh filter). Makes 10 cups in 10 minutes. Coffee is as good as any other drip coffee maker I've ever had. I don't know why it's suddenly so expensive, but I would pay up to $25 for this one. You open the hinged top lid and rotate the water dripper out of the way to get the basket and put in the filter and coffee. Then when you close the lid, it is cleverly designed to push the dripper back into position (2 plastic tabs on the underside of the lid accomplish this). The carafe does not drip when you pour a cup of coffee - even if you pour fast. The basket also does not drip onto to the heating surface when you pull the carafe out. Very good machine -- amazing at $15.

All the coffeemaker you need with no superfluous features - Keep It Simple!
What do you really need in a coffee maker? Good coffee, of course, as well as reliability, ease of use, and easy cleaning. Few things annoy me more than those high-tech coffee makers that have whiz-bang features that are supposed to make your life better but ultimately just cause confusion and extra costs (for the coffeemaker itself, charcoal filters, built-in bean grinders, etc.). I don't even really need the timer; I just stagger into the kitchen in the morning and push the "On" button. Easy!Pause-and-pour features on coffeemakers give me a small amount of anxiety because if you don't line up your carafe perfectly you could get a huge mess of hot water and coffee grounds. This hasn't happened to me with this model after my first week of use, but if it happens later I'll add it to the review.A feature I really like about this model is that the water delivery arm swings out over the basket to simulate a manual pour-over like you might get at a good coffee shop. The result is a great cup of coffee with little effort and, of course, at a fraction of the cost of going out. Most of all, I like the simplicity of this model. Life is complicated enough...simplify it and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Great machine at a great price!
Great coffee maker for a great price! Coffee stays hot for a good amount of time. Brewing cycle is pretty quick and the coffee is good. This is not a fancy machine which is just what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this for someone who just wants a machine to brew a nice pot of coffee.

Very Good Value!
For $15.00? Excellent!Perfect - no, but the value for the money... awesomeThe brew basket could have been designed slightly larger to fit the #4 cone filter as it should - not sure why Hamilton Beach couldn`t see this if I can - but other than that one exception, great coffee maker! My coffee is ready and waiting for me in the morning when I get up and taste very good.I absolutely DO NOT understand some of the ridiculous reviews I am seeing here on the flaws being claimed about this coffee maker being one to avoid?! Not only do I like this coffee maker enough to give it a FIVE STAR rating, I went ahead and purchased 2 more at this price and set them aside for later! What else needs to be said?

So far so great
I bought this for our office- we offer people coffee throughout the day, so I make coffee in it a lot. We haven't had it long but so far it works fantastically. No mess when it's brewing. The warmer automatically turns off after 2 hours, and I have a suspicion that they designed it to be very warm but not crazy hot, because nothing has burned so far. I have not used the automatic programmer because I unplug it every evening. Clock is easy to set, and everything is easy to clean.

Good value for the money.
When my Keurig broke, I wanted something simpler, especially since I'm the only one in the house who drinks coffee. Still I like to be able to make a full pot if we're expecting company. This fits the bill. I've had no trouble with it. It's so lightweight compared to what I'm used to, I keep expecting one of the plastic parts to break, but they are sturdier than they look . It's only been two months, but I think it will do well for a couple of years, which, considering how affordable it is, remains a good deal. It's easy and the coffee is good.

Still my favorite coffee maker
This is a replacement for the same model that finally gave up after 5+ years of constant use. It has had a few changes made in design over the years but it still is great product at a reasonable price. I've had almost every make of coffeemaker and some that cost big $$ were the ones that quit the soonest. This pot always makes good coffee right from the beginning and it's now hard to find one that uses cone filters ,which I prefer. I hope they keep making this model at least til I'm ready for the nursing home.
