if possible, go smell these candles at a retailer before ordering. I was disappointed in the odor of my favorite wine. I think the merlot is by far the best scent. These are pricey candles, but the smell is so different than any other. Even my husband said it smelled good, and he thinks candles are a waste of money. If these were $10.00 cheaper, I'd burn them in every room. Careful, these are addicting.

Poorly packed. 6 of 8 candles arrived broken. Scents are ok at best. Some are unpleasant. Returned them all. Would not try them again!

These candles combine three of my favorite things in one fun, giftable package - Candles, Wine and Animal Rescue. The jars are made from recycled wine bottles, the fragrances are named after various varieties of wine and a portion of the proceeds go to animal rescue groups. What's not to love?In terms of quality, they're pretty good. Certainly comparable to Yankee Candle or Bath & Body Works. But don't expect the scents to mimic the wines they're named after (thankfully). As far as I can tell they're merely inspired by the different varietals for which they're named. I ordered two - Sangria, which smells of coconut and sweet tropical fruit and Merlot, with notes of cherry, tobacco and spice. One is perfect for summer while the second is definitely more of an autumn scent. They burn long with no tunneling or wasted wax. The potency (or throw) of the aroma is on the mild side compared to luxury candles, but strong enough to fill a room after several hours.I like everything about these candles. The concept, the fun packaging and the company's commitment to shelter animals.

This soy wax candle has a very cohesive wine theme.It is cast in a sawn off wine bottle bottom, the scent certainly has distinctive Merlot wine notes. The label is reminiscent of wine as well.I found the wick high quality, only needing gentle trims between lightings. The burn time is long, I had it on for a few hours and it hardly drained. The smell is noticeable but not overpowering as you want from a good candle at this price point.I recommend this candle for wine enthusiasts, wine setting/room, wine themed gifts, wine related photo-shoots etc.If you are not really looking for a specifically wine related candle consider other more standard soy wax scented candles in a glass container can be a better choice for many people.

A repurposed (recycled) wine bottle, that smells amazing, made in America, and a portion of the proceeds go to animal charities? Yes please! This is truly a wonderful smelling candle. I am a guy and I like those manly scents that have notes of leather, tobacco, bergamot, and so on. This hits all the right notes and is a wonderful addition to my office. It’s made of soy wax which I like and burns quiet as it is a traditional wick. They have perfectly rounded the edge so there is no worry of sharp edges here. I can’t wait to try out the other scents! Great candle!

Wonderful, low key scent without being too heady or overwhelming. My husband is very scent sensitive so to be extra careful, I'll keep this in my office or potentially the balcony while drinking the real wine and reading.I love this entire concept, recycled wine bottles, donating to animal rescue groups and soy wax. These candles tick all my boxes and I'm really pleased with them. They'd be perfect to gift as well but I'm feeling kind of selfish and want to keep it to myself!
