My search for the perfect litter is finally over!
TLDR: This is my new fave litter and my search is over. Excellent clumping, odour control, and easy to scoop by hand and works well with the Litter Robot (I have the LR4). Minimal dust such that it doesn’t cloud up when pouring and have had zero asthma issues with it (though I do have an air filter in my litter cabinet just to be safe as my cat has asthma too).Wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it is! I have asthma and a lot of allergies to stuff like tree nuts and coconut and corn and soy, so natural litters have been off the table for the most part. I’ve tried lots of clay litters and the dust and tracking always makes me steer away from them again. Even though I have an air filter installed near the litterbox, the dust is usually always an issue in their fur or on the floor. Thankfully, this stuff isn’t really dusty. No cloud when pouring it out, no bits stuck to their feet or fur. It tracks less than a lot of other clay litters I’ve tried, especially compared to the lightweight ones, but if you have an open system that isn’t in an enclosed cabinet like mine is, you may want to invest in a litter mat that is more of a deep pile carpet type to try and mitigate some of the tracking. I think the fact that I have two mats and my litter box is in an enclosed space helps keep most of the tracking inside the cabinet and near the box.It does track a bit, but most of it is stuck to the two mats I have by their box as opposed to dusty paw prints all over my couch or stuck to their toe tufts (I have a longhair with fluffy paws). Honestly I think this may be my Goldilocks litter and the one I stick with and I was not expecting that at all.The cats definitely prefer this litter’s texture on their paws compared to the natural litters I used that are pelleted, and their toe beans are less dry and cracked as well. Someclay litters feel sharp or pokey and I can tell when my cats don’t like the texture of a litter because they stop burying their business as thoroughly. They do not have that issue with this stuff. This stuff clumps super tightly and quickly, and cleaning it by hand takes litter-ally ¼ of the time it does to sift tofu or other natural litters. The grains just fall through the scoop and the clumps are very tight and I feel like this litter will last longer than natural ones too. I also haven’t had any issues with any urine clumps sticking to the sides or bottom of the box because of how well this stuff clumps, which makes both scooping and the monthly scrub much easier, and it keeps their feet and fur cleaner, too. I have my Litter Robot 4 set to clean 15 minutes after a cat exits the box, and that seems to be the sweet spot in terms of allowing enough time for the clumps to form and keeping odour to a minimum, though your results may vary if the climate you live in is different than mine. I live in an area with relatively low humidity, and I keep a small natural desiccant near the mini air filter in my litter cabinet as well to minimise potential bacteria and mold growth. If you live in a more humid area I’d definitely recommend doing this, and you might want to allow more time after your cat leaves before the litterbox runs a cleaning cycle as well. The odour control is also excellent, which is the one thing that was a bummer about natural litters- they don’t trap smells as well. I’d wake up in the morning and immediately have to clean the box because the smell would be strong. I keep my litterbox in a litter cabinet designed to hold the Litter Robot and my couch is only a few feet away, meaning I can definitely tell if there are smells. I’m sitting in my couch right now and haven’t scooped yet this morning, so a full night’s use for two cats is a few feet away from me and I genuinely can’t smell anything. Also an added bonus, I have a female cat with urinary issues who is prone to getting UTIs easily and this litter has made keeping her rear clean much easier, which means fewer UTIs. She has long fur and difficulty cleaning herself back there, and even though I do give her a sanitary trim regularly she still can get dirty easily especially when her tummy issues act up. The natural and plant-based litters I’ve used tend to need to be changed out completely more frequently and grow bacteria more easily than this one, which ends up being both more expensive because of how often I have to do a full litter change and worse for her health. In terms of weight, it’s less heavy than some other clay litters I’ve used, like Dr. Elsey’s or Tidy Cats, but by no means as light as the lightweight clay litters. Honestly, I had no issues carrying it and the weight wasn’t a deciding factor for me, but figured I’d mention it anyway. I’m a petite woman with virtually no upper body strength and was able to carry the bag to and from my car without issue. My one minor gripe about this is the price. I feel like if this was just a little cheaper, like $30 even for a bag, I’d be 100% happy with the cost. That being said, the fact that it ticks basically all the boxes- excellent odour control, fast and tight clumping, ease of scooping, cleanliness, minimal tracking/sticking to their fur, no allergy or asthma issues, very low dust, works well with my LR4, and soft on my cats’ paws, means that I’m willing to pay for it. Just the fact that I don’t have to spend any more time testing out litters, the reduced scooping time, and the fact that I don have to worry as much about my longhair senior cat’s UTI issues and rear-end cleanliness and my other cat’s asthma and allergies has been such a huge quality of life upgrade that it’s worth the money.Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed by this litter and will be using it from now on. I’m so happy my search has finally ended after years of trying to find a litter that meets all my needs and allergy requirements!

Lightweight Litter Hero
All cat litter creates dust, tracks crumbs - don't buy the hype no matter what they say.Given that statement, this is probably the best cat litter I've used. It's lightweight, it clumps really well, controls urine odor exceptionally well, but #2 will always be stinky - I don't care what all the litter brands say about odor control. I typically use 1.5 bags per litter box (extra large, high sided, single entry), which last about a month to 1.5 months before I need to add litter or change the box completely. The litter grains are small, and allow scoops with very slender grating to sift reasonably well. I use one of the large plastic scoopers because my male Maine Coon likes to pee a lake-size puddle when he goes.

Best, especially for robot litter boxes
I originally bought this after doing a lot of research on the best litter to use with my robot litter box. Boxie Probiotic was raved about everywhere, and I can absolutely see why. When I only had one cat, this litter was PERFECT. No smell, excellent clumping, not overly heavy, and it worked flawlessly in my automatic litter box. It really lived up to the hype.Fast forward to now — I have three cats. I’m using this in both my robot litter box and a regular litter box. It still performs better than anything else I’ve tried. The clumping is solid, it stays relatively low-dust, and there’s no overpowering fragrance (which I really appreciate). That said, my only real complaint is the price. With three cats, I go through litter much faster, and I do wish it was a little more affordable for a multi-cat household. I may explore other options just to see if there’s something slightly more budget-friendly or even stronger at odor control for my current situation. But here’s the thing — every time I try a different litter because it’s on sale, I regret it. I always end up wishing I had just stuck with this one. It really is better than the others I’ve tested. So while I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because of cost, this is hands down the best litter I’ve found so far.

The best cat litter on the market
I was pleasantly surprised by this litter. Having tried EVERY single brand on the market I have to say that this litter is worth every penny.I don't smell my litter box anymore. I replace the litter once a month and if you walked into my house, you wouldn't even know there was a cat there. It clumps easily and fully.....no little chunks that break off when scooping. Super easy and super clean. It states its good for 40 days and I haven't tested it past 30 days yet but on day 30, I smell nothing. I love love love this litter.

Maybe the best litter for the robot yet?
I was skeptical when I bought this litter. I have had a LR4 for 5 years and have used sooooo many different kinds of litter. This one does keep the globe clean, it has no smell and doesn't track hardly as much as some others. My cats had no issue with the texture or switching over to it. The litter clumps well and doesn't stick to the globe, ever! I have reordered twice now.

Boxie Fan for Life.
I will never purchase another product. There is absolutely NO odor from the cat when using this product. THE clumping is VERY good! no loose clumps of urine. AND it's easy to clean. Solid customer.

Brand change!!
I've used this brand for 3 years and within the last 6 months they have changed their recipe and have rebranded. It used to be fantastic! I have a system that uses stainless steel litter boxes with a metal scooper and with the old recipe it worked like a charm; low odor, minimal/manageable dust, easy scooping, lasted 2.5 months between two cats with minimal top offs of new litter at the 3 month mark. I rarely had to completely dump and change the litter to fresh. That's how good it was for odor control. Absolute best on the market and my cats loved it.However, with the new recipe and rebranding that has happened, I have noticed that, yes, while the dust is extremely reduced, other aspects that I loved have gotten worse. It is extremely heavy now and more dense. It is harder to scoop; I have to really scrape at the box to get it clean as it sticks to everything now as the clay is too moist. It hurts my wrist. The moisture content issue has made it hard for my cats to come away with clean paws and they track it around the house so much so that now I find clumps stuck to fabric and the floor and it's a pill to clean and keep an eye out for all the time. The odor control lasts about a week and because of how it clumps, we go through it so much quicker and we need a refill (and a deep clean of the boxes!) sooner than the marketed time.I've raved about this brand for years and have recommended it to so many people but because of these changes I am looking for a new brand. What a bummer! I really hope they see loyal customers reviews of these changes and go back to what they once were!!Attached are photos of what the brand used to look like in comparison to what it is now!

Alright litter, horrible tracking
Won't be buying this again - the litter itself is alright, but the tracking of this is some of the worst I've ever had. Ever since putting this in the box, I have litter on every piece of furniture my cats usually lay on.

Lowest tracking ive seen on the market
For the amount from 1 bag is expensive but also do note its not really dust free. However, the dust is very low to a minimal. Aside from that, it masks smell very well and low tracking. Its a win for me and my cats.

Exceptional 40-day odor control! Flawless hard clumps and completely dust-free.
I purchased this 28lb bag of Boxie Probiotic Cat Litter to manage the litter box in our multi-cat household setup. I was looking for a natural, unscented clay formula that could active-clean the box automatically while keeping ammonia smells at bay, and this premium formula has been absolutely perfect.Pros:•Continuous Probiotic Odor Elimination: The 40-day guaranteed odor control works like magic. Instead of masking smells with heavy artificial perfumes, the natural probiotics work 24/7 to digest waste and completely eliminate odors at the source.•Hard, Flat Top-Clumping Action: This 100% Bentonite clay formula creates instant, rock-hard clumps right on the surface layer. Because the moisture stays on top of the litter box, the clumps scoop away effortlessly without sinking or welding themselves to the plastic bottom.•True 99.9% Dust-Free Pours: The dust reduction processes are phenomenal. It is 99.9% dust-free, which entirely eliminates large white cloud puffs during refills, reduces overall tracking, and ensures a cleaner, safer breathing environment.•Long-Lasting Value Pack: Because it absorbs more liquid efficiently and stays cleaner longer, a single 16lb bag comfortably lasts a full 40 days for one cat. It requires far fewer total changes compared to cheaper alternative brands.Cons:•Maintain the Recommended 3-Inch Depth: To get the best out of the top-clumping technology and prevent box sticking, you must maintain a strict 3-inch depth. If you let the litter baseline run shallow, the urine can seep down to the bottom before the clay can fully bind it.•Slightly Smaller Clay Granules: The clay particles are fine and soft to be gentle on sensitive feline paws. While this creates a pleasant, stress-free experience for your cat, the smaller size means you should expect some minor tracking right outside the pan entrance.Final Verdict:An outstanding, veterinarian-approved clumping clay that delivers exceptional, toxin-free performance. It is free from harsh chemicals, keeps the home smelling completely fresh, and works beautifully in standard, sifting, or automatic self-cleaning litter boxes.

Doesn’t do what it says…
It’s beyond me how this got so many positive reviews. The only good thing about it is that it’s dust free. Other than that, odor control is non existent, it’s been my least favorite and I had to buy two air purifiers for the two litter boxes I have only because of the lack of odor control. Clumping performance is very low, it crumbles as soon as I try to scoop it. Tracking is THE WORST. I wish I had the same experience of other’s but it was absolutely horrible, it’s dark in color and it’s spread across my entire house. Safe to say, won’t purchase again.

No dust !
We’ve tried many different cat litters over the years, and this one is by far the best. It doesn’t create clouds of dust when pouring or scooping, which makes a huge difference for both us and our cat. The clumping is excellent: pee stays together, doesn’t crumble or break apart, and is very easy to scoop out cleanly. Odor control is also great and the litter stays fresh much longer than others we’ve used. Overall, it’s low-mess, low-dust, and very effective. We won’t be going back to any other brand.

Works great, just heavy - go for the smaller bag!
I've been using this in my automatic litter box, and it's been awesome so far ... I'm on my second bag!! It clumps really well and doesn't stick to the bottom like other litters I've tried (which used to make cleaning a pain). It's super low dust too, and my cat isn't kicking it all over the place like he used to.There's no smell to the litter itself, but it does a great job keeping the bad smell away - my place doesn't smell like a litter box at all, which is a big win.Only thing is ... I got the 40-pound bag and it's HEAVY. Definitely awkward to pour into the litter box. I'd recommend grabbing the smaller bags instead - way easier to deal with.Overall, great litter and does what it's supposed to without the mess.
