A High Tech Alternative For Swiffer Wet Jet Mop Users
I should preface this review that my hard floor cleaning combo for a decade has been a vacuum cleaner and a Swiffer Wet Jet Mop. The idea is to pick up hair and debris with the vacuum and then to polish and clean the floor with the Swiffer. All the "less than optimal" 2 in 1 solutions (especially those devices that vacuum and mop) I have attempted to use have ended in disappointment; ultimately myself going back to this combo time and time again. So I decided to give the Bissell Spinwave a try since I wanted something a little different and something with a little more muscle on hard floors than the Swiffer Wet Jet. Although I am happy with the results, there are few caveats about the device that I will address.First the positives. The device has a heavy base so it naturally "rubs up" against the floor without the need of the user to put their weight into it. Anyone who uses a Swiffer for years knows what I'm talking about. Second, the fill tank of the device is as simple as the Swiffer Wet Jet. Just fill it with hot tap water, mix some Bissell solution (I'll get to this more later) and plug in the bottle and you're set. Third, the Spinwave couldn't be easier to use. It only has 2 buttons; spray and power on/off. If you need to attach the pads, they stick to the device via Velcro tabs on the bottom. It is eerily similar to the Swiffer Wet Jet; just a lot bigger and bulkier. Finally, the device is very lightweight once turned on. It actually glides across the floor with a little bit of liquid sprayed on the ground, and feels like it's polishing the floor rather than scrubbing against it. Considering how heavy the unit feels like when you lug it around, it almost appears to be hovering off the ground once power is applied. Now onto the caveats and negatives. First, the overall frame of the Bissell makes it somewhat lean forward when standing. Doesn't sound like much, but it always looks as if it's going to tip over. If you decide to hang this on a wall, it's going to need a hook that's a bit longer to make sure the device catches on and doesn't fall off. Second, the spray function of the Bissell Spinwave is incredibly lackluster. It sounds and feels like the device struggles to push liquid out from the bottle onto the floor. This is quite annoying since the angle of handle will dictate whether or not solution will be able to push out of the bottle. In other words, you kinda have to move the handle forward or backward to a degree where the Bissel can spray liquid out. This is frustrating because the "pump" is so delicate it will have a hard time pushing out any solution that isn't simple tap water and the Bissell approved cleaner. Years of using a Swiffer Wet Jet led me to make a home made solution for pennies using diluted Fabuloso and water. When I poured this straight into the tank and gave it a try, the Spinwave struggled heavily to get any of the soapy solution out. When I emptied the tank and used the simple water + Bissell solution it worked fine; albeit still weakly and awkwardly. Those who want a frugal alternative to buying solution all the time will have to settle on a pre-mix of water and vinegar or citric acid. Don't try and use any other "soapy" substance, it's just not going to work that easily. My last minor gripe with the Spinwave is that pivoting handle may wear out over time since there is no "lock/release" button. You have to forcibly lower / push the handle into place when you're done and I can't imagine this being good for the joint after months / years of use. Many might just want to ask "Does it clean better than the Swiffer Wet Jet?". Yes, it does. Considerably. But it's not a perfect replacement as noted above, and you should take the good with the bad. I'm happy with my purchase, but I feel like I made a slight upgrade than a major one.Hope you found this information useful.

Excellent product!!
Truly, a remarkable appliance for someone who HATES mopping, like me! I opened the item tonight, quickly assembled it which took less than 2 minutes, and away I went! I "mopped" my entire 900 sq. ft. apartment in less than 15 minutes, with very, very minimal effort. Just turn it on, occasionally spray the cleaning solution and go. Seriously, it couldn't be any easier. The white microfiber cloth afterwards was BLACK on the bottom, so I know it worked...and I thought my floors were clean!!! Just spend the $99 and get it, and never handle a drippy mop again.

Overpriced Swiffer mop, I fell for the hype.
So disappointed. Not worth the price. I’m so upset I fell for the hype. I thought because it was more expensive and highly rated it would be just what I was looking for. It did not clean my porcelain tile floor.Description says good for sticky meses...where? It gently mops on the surface with the cotton pads in a circular motion, and leaves opaque and streaky finish. I’ve had better results with $15 Swiffer wet mop. I have a bad back and was looking for something light and effective at cleaning tile with sticky surfaces. It is light and practically moves by itself, but I spent over 20 minutes trying to mop my small kitchen, going over it several times. Made my shoulder and back sore and still not clean. If you are looking for a light surface wipe for everyday, I still wouldn’t recommend.

JUST BUY IT!!
Ugh I can’t believe there are people who have left a negative review about this product. Is it a commercial floor polisher? No. Is it a commercial sander & sealer? No. Is it a tool that cleans your floor amazingly well and is effortless to use? Heck yes!The tool is heavy enough where it pushes down on the ground and actually gets up stubborn dirt and grime but the second you turn it on it feels as light as a feather. I could move it around with a single finger.I used to have a swiffer wet jet and it took me about 40 min to “clean” my hardwoods. 40 min later I was left with a sore back and smudges from the puppy all over the floor. I didn’t have the stamina or desire to go back and redo it. Additionally I would have to buy plastic backed disposable pads which are terrible for the environment. This tool leaves NO smudge marks and the reusable pads are thick and HIGHLY effective. It now only takes me 10 min to clean the floors and I actually enjoy it!!!Ignore the overly picky reviews and just buy the thing. It’s one of those devices where after you’ve bought it you say to yourself “damn I should have done this 5 years ago. I’m mad at how much time and energy I’ve wasted”.

NOT WORTH A CENT
I'd like to leave it with no stars really. I was so excited for the arrival of this new aid. Thought it would make my life so much easier-taking the back staking work out of floor cleaning. It was horrible. Cool gadget but didn't do a darn thing but spin around. Directions say to keep holding trigger to dispense solution. The pads aren't nearly absorbent enough to sop up the liquid. Nonetheless I gave it a SPIN. Got through one area of the house pull off the pads expecting to see the lifted grime. Hardly anything. I scraped that I brought out my basic mop. Went over the same area & YUK. Yep there's my everyday grime. This Bissell was a complete waste.I'd also caution anyone from purchasing from the vendor I used. Terrible. They wouldn't respond to my inquiries. Thanks to Amazon & their wonderful service, they kindly allowed me to return the product.

Can't beIieve I waited this long to buy one
Great electric mop. My wife being a nurse is picky about the floors being cleaned. This mop has power and really gets up the dirt. We live on a farm and have a lot of mud and it does the job. It will not pick up particles on the floor so you have to vacuum prior to use. The cleaning pads are thick.
