AC Infinity Water Detection Sensor Exclusively for AI Controllers, Monitor Presence of Water in Gardens, Grow Tents, Grow Spaces, Suction and Magnetic Mounting, IP68 Seal Protection

I received this through the Amazon Vine program for the purposes of reviewing. I got this to use with my grow system. I am using an auto-watering system in my grow tent with an external reservoir. This sensor simply detects the presence of water, for my purposes to let me know when my reservoir is nearly empty. The sensor can be used for more advanced features as well, like automations (i.e. turning on/off a pump). To be clear, this sensor only works with the AI Controller and is not supported by any other models at this time. It also does not use the standard UIS ports, but rather one of the two sensor ports on the AI controller. This is important to note because currently it is a limitation if you are using any of the other AI controller sensors like temp/humidity, CO2, moisture sensor, etc. Currently, you can only use two of the listed sensors at a time. Hopefully, there is a firmware update or sensor dongle coming to allow more than any two sensors being connected at a time. I think it is reasonably priced, and if you are already using the AC Infinity AI controller, then this is another great addition to the AC Infinity ecosystem. At the risk of sounding like a shill for AC Infinity, I think they are one of the best grow equipment manufacturers out there. Their software and hardware integration is the best I have used by far. Nobody else is quite at the level of integration as they are in my opinion.

Does what it's supposed to. They still need to figure out some things as far as the notifications though, I constantly get "water detected" then "no water detected".

Stopped working immediately. They did send a replacement and I haven’t had time to try the new one.

I love this probe and the way the software interacts with it. I have it in my humidifier tank and it keeps the humidifier tank full. The sensor sends a trigger to the AI outlet that there is no water detected and it turns on the pump to fill the humidifier reservoir. It turns the pump on when it detects water. This allows me to be away from home for a couple of days. AC Infinity products are top notch!

Not real sure of the purpose of this. It looks like a level sensor since you can submerse it but I don’t see a way to make it change from “if dry turn water pump on” when I really want it to be if dry do not turn pump on. But there is also the limitations of only 2 sensor ports. To use this one I need to remove the CO2/light sensor. This system could be so much more with all the devices and sensors but being limited to 2 sensors sucks
