Helpful, but a little too big for my application
I bought this to get a better picture of the ignition issues on a dead outboard motor. It did work for that, but it was difficult to get it on the plug due to the body of the motor being too close to the spark plug. It would be nice if the boot had a 90 degree bend. Also since there was pressure on the spark plug wire where it attaches to the plug, I noticed that the contact would bend very easily and start to lose contact with the plug.

Works well, is inexpensive so I don't have a problem with the plastic boot like others did...
Worked just fine for me. Nice to have an inexpensive way to check "spark" that is safer than the old screwdriver to ground.It lights up when there is spark, fit my plugs and wires fine. What else does one need?

Handy tool!
This tool works well and actually seems to be pretty well made.Nice for the price.It can be a little tricky when the plugs are in tight quarters (it almost didn't work with my 5.5HP outboard.)

This does the trick only better.
Most of the time I just stick a screw driver into the spark plug wire and ground it out to see if it still works .This does the trick only better.

Cant use the tester
I have nothing against this product but it was of no real service cause i needed a spark tester for small engines not for a car I cant use it .......Im sorry I did not notice rightaway cause I went on a vacation and just came back and tried to use it on a Homelite trimmer NO DICE IM SO IGNOIRANT..........

works but not very reliable
Tip is always bent to big or to small, and it doesn't fit all plugs, and its and a rated light, so you can measure the spark, it only lets you know if your coil is working but not how good its working. So its okay for small engies i guess like lawn mowers and off road bikes. But not for street vehicles.

Life saver or arm and head saver
I work on old Dodge trucks. It is difficult to reach the engines on these old trucks and to crank them with the spark plug against the head to test spark requires gymnastics I can't perform. This tool makes it a snap. I can crank the engine while seated in the cab and see the spark. Won't be without one of these for the foreseeable future.

Oops - my bad
I wanted to use it on a string trimmer, but I should have realized from the photo that the cord is a bit too short to allow that. I'll keep it for cars or whatever, but going to need another one to work on small engines.
