Adorrgon 12x42 High Powered Binoculars for Adults, Phone Adapter and Tripod

These binoculars are lightweight and have really good magnification and clarity for birdwatching. I LOVE the phone attachment for taking pictures through them, I started using that right away and it works great! I haven't tried them for stargazing yet, but I think I'll enjoy looking at the moon through them as well. I definitely recommend.

Have to buy a new one with limited budget for my two weeks’ trip to Kenya in East Africa, since my old Bushnell was lost during the last trip. I wasn't expecting much I bought them for really low price on amazon at beginning. But its performance is totally beyond my expectation. BTW, it's a little bit nervous to observe the lion at this distance.... Here is what I got after frequent use during the trip: 1.The images it delivers are very clear, just as advertised. There are no big differences compared to H2O Bushnell. 2.Lighter. Adorrgon’s 1.2lbs V.S. Bushnell’s 1.6lbs. I used to feel ache with Bushnell’s. The lighter weight is really a relief for my neck, since I usually walk long distances on trails in wildlife areas. 3.Focus works well. A quick focusing is the basic for hunting. It just takes me few minutes to get started. 4.Great price, about half the cost of H2O Bushnell but with high-quality optics and all other accessories (nice bag /attached strap, comfortable carrying strap, lens covers, wiping cloth, etc.) 5.12x magnification ensures a closer view and more details, better for me personally. Further distance means safer in some occasion. It feels like there are butterflies in my stomach when I came across a lion in the forest. 6.The only pity is that it does not come with a phone adapter, need to buy it separately. But the seller had contacted me and sent me one later. 5 stars for the customer service! I rarely write reviews unless extremely poor or overly excited. But these binos are extremely exciting with great price. Worth the money.

TL;DR: Great binoculars for the price. The phone mount and tripod system are pretty cheap and have limited utility, which is why I give this a 4/5 instead of a 5/5. Longer version: I bought these to bring with me when I go rock climbing so that I can scope out different routes from the ground, and they work great for this use case. I was worried that these might not work for looking at things that are pretty close, but the minimum focal distance I can measure is 9-10 ft (~3 meters). It is quite easy for me to focus on mountains at distances of 10-40 miles (15-65 km), but I can't focus well on stars. Of course, binoculars aren't meant to look up at the sky - that is what telescopes are for. For the price, these are a fantastic piece of equipment. However, the phone mount and tripod are cheaply made, and I could not recommend this set for someone who plans to spend a lot of time taking pictures through the device. The setup just isn't very stable and causes issues where the phone shakes and then struggles to focus properly. It could be OK for more static applications. For example, if you wanted to set this up as a video motion detection rig with a smartphone, I think that could work fine since things won't be moving much. As a bonus: you can flip the binoculars around and turn them into a microscope. I am able to easily focus on individual pixels on a computer screen, and a few dozen pixels on a phone screen. Focal distance/range: 9 ft - 40 miles (3m - 65 km) Size: about the size of an average adult male hand with fingers outstretched. Ocular lens separation: 55 mm (2.2 inches) when close together, 76 mm (3 inches) when far apart. This should be fine for basically all adults and most children. "The average pupillary distance of a typical adult ranges from 54 to 74 mm without much difference between the average female and male PD. A child's distance ranges from 43 to 58 mm." Alternatives: If someone wants something smaller, Amazon has binoculars than can fit in pants pockets quite easily. If you want to collect brighter images (ie, view in low-light scenarios), you'll want something with a larger diameter lens and/or something with lower magnification. These objective lenses (the big lenses on the end) are 42 mm in diameter (hence the "12x42" description). If you need a pair that focuses to shorter distances, get something with a lower magnification (this has 12x magnification). If you have shaky hands, lower magnification is recommended because they will have a wider "field of view". If you don't want to take pictures with your phone, you could probably save a few bucks by buying some binoculars without the accessories. I hope this review helps potential buyers!

These binoculars are my first ever, and I believe I chose well. I didn't have much budget, but I could have gotten cheaper binocs. But research will usually yield better results. I chose this model because of specs, customer reviews, claimed sharpness of detail and field of vision,pricing, functiinality,size,and all the extras which come with it. The carry case is a shaped pouch with a velcro closure. I attached the binocs carry strap easily enough with a bit of fussiness, but did it right proper. With it I also attached the rear lens covers so they will never get lost. This detail is covered in the instruction manual which is well illustrated and easy to follow. Non of that Chinglish. I have not yet tied the smart phone adaptor but it shows how to mount to a phone with multiple lenses like most phones are made these days. After using the binoculars first time for my intended use of them, it turns out I could of gotten some with somewhat lower specs. These are a tad more powerful than 8 need, but will fill my purpose okay. As far as waterproofing goes, I'll have to take the manufacturers word on that, I choose not 5i test that. I like to take good care of my equipment, therefore I expect many long years of service from these. Field of vision and clarity was very good. A sharp picture edge to edge and reasonable light gathering for a sorry winter snowy afternoon. I'd recommend them for anyone looking for a powerful set of binocs for canvassing large vistas.

The image is sharp and clean; the unit itself is as solid as you’d want it to be. You won’t have any complaints for the price! The case is absolutely perfect; not cheap at all and comes with a nice carry strap. I also received the attachment for my cell phone that allows me to take pictures through the binoculars. The attachment is also sturdy and well-built. It is adjustable to the size of your phone and you’re ready to take some pretty good pictures of objects that are miles away….and then you still get to expand the image on your phone to view objects that I cannot see with my own eyes. The package came on time. I was waiting for the package I was here all day and went a few times to our door to make sure I got the order before it was dark and just because I was very excited about taking pictures with these stuff - but got me suspicious when I saw the box that was left by the Amazon delivery person at our door - as soon as the notification was given I went to our front porch to see The shipping box with our order. There were 3 items in total came in very bad shape I took pictures before I opened the box; it was looking as if someone else ripped the original blue tape but the package was placed at our door on time “Nobody else touched the box” so I am confused here- someone put a clear tape over some areas over Amazon blue tape but doesn’t know how to pack correctly - it was looking bad. Amazon when that happened to us before instructed us to open the box anyways to see if everything is there in good shape etc - that’s what I did! The order came with 3 different items as we have ordered from different sellers. The other items seem to be fine but the binocular manufacturers box and the items inside that box have been packed with different and opened bags not from the manufacture as if someone else have uses some of the items. The box with the binoculars and its other accessories came as if someone else already opened the box. The binoculars seem to be ok. The phone adapter doesn’t work. A good thing - Adjusting the binoculars was easy. I am not keeping them cause it’s been used and the phone adapter is not working.
