CLTEZSETA EZ-Glide Pen Turner's 2pc Toolrest Set, 5/8" Diameter Post (15.875mm)

This is a huge upgrade to my cheap lathe. I broke my original tool rest and bought these as replacements. It's like a brand new tool, with much better control. The shape of this rest allows you to keep your tool close to the workpiece and keep your fingers comfortable and out of the way. The rounded edge let's your tools glide smoothly without digging in to the rest... The rest that came with my harbor freight lathe was made of cheap cast iron that my chisels would dig into and scar the surface... This new rest from PSI has a hardened chrome edge that is tough and smooth. I feel like a better turner because of it.

These are great, but as someone mentioned before, the plating on the rod is already wearing off. No big issue, still works great without the plating.

These were a good price and are very solid. My only problem is the chrome coating flaked off of the larger one the first time I used it. I use the smaller one mostly and that one is ok so far. Would have been better to leave them uncoated. I had to sand the rest of the chrome off to get a smooth working bar.

Very good tool rests! Worth the money! Well made, sturdy! I made a poor measurement and had to return them, as I needed 1 inch mounting posts. These are 5\8". It was my fault. They refunded my money without a problem and they were shipped back. If they fit your machine it's be a great idea to get this set of rests.Hawk

They are great, a real value for the price. They are chrome plated for some reason and it starts flaking off as soon as you use it. Doesn't affect anything so why plate it?

I broke my toolrest in a fit of genius that resulted in a large piece of wood shooting off the lathe at an incredible speed. I hadn't ever thought about a different toolrest. These do the job well. I am still a novice turner and there may be products that are better for those who are more advanced, but I have not had a single complaint.

Very satisfied with this tool rest. Seems to be well constructed. Much better than the tool rest that came with the lathe. Has a smooth chrome surface to rest the tool on. Overall, very good value.

This product was delivered quickly and on time. I have only briefly used them but they appear to be exactly what I needed. I recommend them.

Solid construction. good quality product. hard to gush about a chisel rest but I am pleased with this item. Longer than than the rest that came with my lathe and makes it easy to move chisels smoothly.

Well made, short one ideal for small pen turning projects. I like that you can run your hand along the lower groove as you move the tool ftprom left to right.

I wanted a curved tool rest for bowls that pushed the limits of my midi lathe. The 10" one that came with the lathe was just too short and left me hanging way over the rest on large pieces.Really only wanted the largest one but bought the kit. Price talks. Worked well for my purposes.
