LG Cosmos 3 VN251S Gray Slider Phone (Verizon Wireless Prepaid)

First, I have this phone already GREAT PHONE... However! Don't buy from this vendor. The box my phone came in was dirty and old, all smashed up and there was no battery included. The phone was scratched up. It looked like something from the black market off the streets. BEWARE!

I bought this phone in September 2016. I read the mixed reviews but bought it anyway. The box it came in did look old but the phone was fine. I love this little phone! It works wonderfully with my Verizon prepaid phone plan. I used to have an iPhone and then a droid before switching back to a slider phone (a long time ago I had a different slider phone.) Anyway, it works beautifully for my purposes- which is texting and for phone calls. A side note- it has mobile web included with the Verizon prepaid plan but I've yet to use it on this phone so I can't speak to that part of the phone. The reason I bought this phone was to simplify anyway- if I wanted internet access I would not have purchased this phone. Great phone, great price, easy for texting and a great small size! I cannot say enough good things about this little phone! It was also very easy to activate. I did it myself online and followed the simple directions. The salesperson in a local Verizon store "warned me" that I was taking a chance by not buying directly from Verizon (it was out of stock and they only had $100+ slider phones.) It works great, was way less than $100 and was super easy to set up. I would buy this again if I ever somehow destroyed the one I currently own.

It is incompatible with any carriers because it is 3G and those phones "expired" in December. Do not buy unless for play

So far, all functions work good. It was in the condition described so I am quite satisfied. Wiould recommend this seller to anyone.

I've had this phone for a few months now. If I had to do over again, I would get a similar design, but a different model.I decided it was time to trade in my 13-year-old LG flip phone for something that would be easier to text with, but I did not want a smart phone. I thought the slide-out QWERTY keyboard would be just the thing. But some keys are in odd places because it tries to squeeze four rows' worth of keys into three rows. It took some practice to get used to, and I still have to hunt for some punctuation marks. The numeric keypad on the Cosmos 3 is even worse than the QWERTY keyboard. The keys are long, narrow, and slanted, all of which makes it hard to press the right key. (My fingers are relatively slender. I can't imagine how a person with stubby fingers would use this phone!)But the worst thing about this phone is the Backup Assistant. Every day the assistant checks to see whether there is anything new to back up. Every day it determines there is nothing new. And it displays a message telling me if found nothing new to back up. It will continue to display this message forever, using up battery power, until I acknowledge the message. If I don't receive a call or a text, that can be hours later. There does not appear to be any way to turn it off. I can supposedly re-set the time for the daily back-up, but I've done it several times and it does not work. Rather, it now checks TWICE a day instead of just once! (I did eventually figure out how to prevent it from draining the battery. I had to turn the AutoLock feature back on. For some reason AutoLock trumps the Backup Assistant, allowing the screen to dim.)I hate technology that thinks it's smarter than I am and does its own thing instead of what I tell it to do. That's why I avoided getting a smartphone. And that's why I am dissatisfied with the Cosmos 3.P.S. I just learned that the Cosmos 3 comes in two versions. This is the prepaid version. I had to switch my Verizon account from regular to prepaid in order to activate this phone. The regular version of the Cosmos 3 is available elsewhere on Amazon.

dont trust this product. Phone was prepaid. No where on website did it state this. Company is a fraud. Could not activate post paid. Returned this junk item immediately.

It's decent phone. It belongs to my mom.

I called to have it set up but Verizon said this phone wasn't serviced anymore and it was a brand new phone so I returned it..
