String theory is the new game in town.
If you're or have been a science enthusiast, The read will be totally worth the time of yours. The author puts life in those mathematical equations we studied in school by his beautiful analogies. The book describes many mind boggling facts and gives the description of journey of string theory in the 20th century. The way String theory answers most of the questions- that couldn't be answered simply by Quantum theory or general relativity- is remarkable. On reading these accounts i gained insight of how elegantly our universe is designed.Even if you've no prior knowledge of quantum theory and relativity, this shouldn't stop you from reading because the language is simple and lucid. However because the book was published in 2000-ish, recent developments in string theory and large hadron collider are not described.

Light Read
I tried to read a lot of science books as a Science student after 10th, then, these books frustrated me. Whereas, now as a law student this book was a breath of fresh air and helped a lot in understanding the Universe and how exactly space(ships) work.I liked that how the author has tried to make the subject more friendly towards people with little scientific background. It is an amazing book and sometimes leaves you thinking, Okay, we have something figured out. I am a spiritual person but it made skeptic of the fact that I was. Also, not going to lie, but helped in understanding why they were spinning the spaceship in Interstellar and few more things. :D

Great, heavy read if you're not a nerd like that
What a great book, read like 30 pages then lost it in me grandmama's mansion, miss it everyday

Great Book!!
A very nice book for string theory and other complex branches of quantum mechanics. This book delivers the knowledge in a very elaborate way easy to understand and it also forces the reader to apply his/her mind.

A must read
It is a very interesting book, this opens the secret to the very smallest to the very big. This book explains time dilation and other relative stuff in a very interesting way, I've read Hawking's brief history of time and it's an awesome book, but The elegant universe proves to be better. It has explained general relatively and special relativity in a fun manner, Greene threatens to do what Hawkins has done for black holes. Now, superstring theory will merge relativity and quantum mechanics, which has never been done before and I bet you'll come out a better person than you were previously

Amazing Amazon...
Well, the book itself doesn't require any reviews. If you are enthusiastic about going beyond what 'A brief history of time' serves, this book is the best stop for you. I saw this book when I was doing graduation but never gather the guts to read. Now as I have become a teacher, I see my students talk about black holes, theory of relativity and string and superstring theory and all. That's the time I knew I needed an upgrade. I recalled this book after watching Mr. Greene's lectures on these things...I will read these things in detail. Now, to have a feel, I needed the hardcover book which would have costed me 1800. I went for a second hand book...and was apprehensive about the quality untill I had the book in my hand. I say, the book is amazing, pages crisp and the cover as clean as a mildly used book should be. The only relic of the use is the edge being at a higher shade than the books. And the cost was one third of what a newer one would have cost me.

Great
Exquisitely written and explains the basics of string theory. Good packaging and the book got quality, and I'm in love with this elegant subtle cover page it got.
