Tech21 Impact Tactical Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Smokey Grey

These cases are the real deal. Never had any problems when dropping my HTC Amaze, Galaxy Note II (2) or my newer Note III (3). The case is very slim and doesn't bulk up an already big phone but keeps the edges well protected.UPDATE: Real Life ExampleI am so thankful for this case. It is my 3rd Tech21 D3O case and I love them. Here is my quick story. As we all know our lives are now on these phones. Contacts. Personal texts and pictures. Pictures and videos of our kids. Etc. etc.I was playing basketball in my driveway and sat my Note 3 face down on the trunk of our Acura in the garage while I played. I then pulled some weeds and when I came back to the front the car was gone. My wife had driven it up and down hills, around corners and down our main road at 40 MPH to get to the local Trader Joes for some produce. I about lost it and jumped in the car following her route expecting to find it broken on the side of the road. I found it... STILL STUCK to the trunk of our Acura in the parking lot at Trader Joes. In perfect shape and just how I left it. Saved me the $400 I paid for the phone plus the time and effort to get a new phone back how I'd want it plus the heartache and worry at having lost so much personal stuff. If it were a choice between losing my phone and paying $100 or even $200 for a case that would allow me to not lose it - I'd pay the money. Fortunately this case is under $20. Well worth the money. Anti-drop, anti-skid, protects the face and not bulky. Worth every penny and then some!

Great phone case. It holds my Note nice and snug, and you can easily manipulate the volume button and on/off button. It looks flimsy, but its looks are deceiving. These Tech cases are built well, nice and sturdy. They fit nicely around the corners which are especially sensitive when we drop our phones. This is my second Tech 21 case. And there's no worries about fingerprints or stains. They don't take. I really like Tech 21 products. Wish they had more colors available.

I absolutely love this case! Fit is very tight and hard as heck to put on my phone. Best to turn phone off while doing so. Thank goodness I haven't dropped my phone- yet. But this case adds ruggedness. Looks tough and the feel on this is just the right amount. Will definitely buy the blue one. I like for my phone to have a assorted wardrobe. I'm addicted and devoted to Amazon and will buy more.PS-- went to T-Mobile to look at their Tech21 product-- double the price you can buy from Amazon. That is crazy. Two here for the price of one anywhere else.

Absolutely love the case! The phone already felt good in my hand, but this feels even better! Good look coupled with a great fit makes this a great buy. The buttons are a little on the stiff side with the case, but not too stiff. Makes it nice so that you don't accidentally push a button. And the phone still feels real sleek with the case on. All in all, a great buy!

It looks great but in my search for a Note 4 cover this came up. I did not notice there was a Note 3 in the mix of covers shown and I selected it based on name brand and color. The cost for return was almost as.much as the purchase. Disappointed in the return process.

This is my third Tech 21 case. I also had ones for my Note 4 and Galaxy S6. These cases are hands down the best on the market. They are thin and don't add much bulk to the phone like other cases. The drop protection is awesome. My Note 4 fell off the shelf for a 5 and half ft drop on to the concrete and didn't have any damage at all. These cases are great!

I never worry when I drop my phone with this case. It absorbs all of the shock. It isn't a bulky case which is a major plus for me. Also the buttons are easy to push so you don't need to bear down on them to power your phone off or adjust the volume.

I was looking for something to protect my new Galaxy Note 3, and was disappointed in the Tech21 Impact Tactical for several reasons. I've read lots of positive reviews about the look and fit of the case, with a HOPE that it will protect in drops. I've outlined the problems I see in hopes that it will be helpful to others searching for a case to protect from drops.1. Gaps in the armor. The sides of this case are filled with E3O material - a jelly that hardens upon impact. This is fine for 3 of the 4 corners of the phone. Unfortunately, the bottom right corner houses the s-pen. In order to provide access to the pen, Tech21 neglected to include any protection for that corner. It simply has a pencil led thin connecting piece of plastic. No polycarbonate rubber. No E3O. A drop from 2 feet onto a dense surface would probably be fatal.2. Soft top and bottom edges. The case sticks out about 1mm beyond the glass to protect from flat front drops. Unfortunately, the lining along the top and bottom, although they go on snug, do not hug to the phone. both edges float away from the phone, allowing the glass to protrude out past the case. A forward drop in this circumstance would mean glass against ground! YIKES!3. Non-give carve outs on controls. The on/off and volume toggle switches are covered by the polycarbonate material. Tech21 thinned out the material to give flex to operate the buttons. Unfortunately, the material is tough (to protect the phone) so that you have to push hard to activate the buttons. This makes it easy to apply too much pressure to the buttons, potentially shortening their lives. Slightly softening the material around the toggles would have made it more user friendly and easier on the connectors.4. Poor finish. I've only owned my case for two days, but it is leaving a white powder residue on my phone. This flour like material is getting in the speakers and the crevices around the single front button. If I had planned to keep the phone, I would probably wash the case.The Tech21 Impact Tactical is a pretty case. It is very slimline. It has a matte finish with a good texture for gripping and it doesn't hold fingerprints. Unfortunately, I don't feel it will hold up to the impacts and therefore it is useless to me.
