So solid I got a 2nd pair
Bought these as a replacement for my previous Timberlands that I finally wore out after so many years that I cant recall when I purchased them. The metal part in the sole where the toe bends started coming out. I think I purchased those at least 5 years ago but could easily be 8. I still use my old sandals as my Summer Fun Backup that sits in my trunk. Shorts/shirt/Sandals...Because sometimes fun stuff pops up in your life after work and going home first can be inconvenient.Im 6'3 225(size 13) with an achy left knee from ACL surgery so I need a supportive, cushy, sandal. I wear these, like my previous ones...hiking, kayaking and everything else. I just cant wear regular flip flops anymore. I like to be prepared for anything and flippity flops just dont do it. If I need to break out into a run or jog for whatever reason, im not going to bust my face.

I bought Timberland sandals because they have good arch support and I was replacing an older pair
I bought Timberland sandals because they have good arch support and I was replacing an older pair. But why did they decide to be cute and put the tying strap at the top of the sandal? It serves no functional purpose and it is a hassle to use the strap. It's probably just a gimmick to distinguish this model from other sandals. But when man (or woman) designed sandals hundreds of years ago with the strap at the back and has left it there for centuries we can surmise that was for good reason. Timberland should focus on make their sandals last longer, be more comfortable, or market different sandals for different arches or foot types. The fancy way of strapping them at the top was a great disappointment.

great for foot problems
I'm a 68 year old male with a long history of foot problems: fallen arches, peripheral neuropathy, heel problems as well as arthritis in my left foot. My feet hurt most all the time in shoes. Living close to the ocean I walk the beach daily so I use waterproof sandals. Others I've tried haven't given me the arch support or they've smelled like hell after a few uses. For the last four years I've been wearing these Timberland Granite Trails and have had a great experience with them. Other than occasional chafing from a new pair they have been problem free. They are my only footwear that are pain free. I now own three different pairs in varying stages of wear. I've found that by cutting off the heel strap they make great slip ons. During the winter I use the slip ons around the house with socks and they serve as comfortable slippers. Unfortunately Timberland has reportedly decided to discontinue this line so I've ordered a good number that will hopefully last until my 90s!!

Great
This is a exact replacement pair for an pair that I've used for years. If they last as long as the first pair, 5 stars.

Very uncomfortable.`
I have had several pairs of sandals from Timberland, one pair with the orange straps lasted me for 6 years and were the very nest. This pair hurt my feet and sorry to say I did not have an option to return them.

Walk over All
Theses sandals have no cushion, it’s made to walk on hard surfaces, but they are gentle around the feet

Caused Sores and Blisters
The edge all around the surface of the sandals where you place your foot is angled to where it feels sharp. At first they felt fine, but as I walked around the street I felt the sandals cutting into my feet. After an hour of walking around I ended up with multiple sores and water blisters. Its really a shame because besides the sharp edge the sandal was fine.

Comfortable and light
I've had other Timberland walking sandals, and looked forward to receiving this new model after my old pair wore out after many years of heavy use. These too are comfortable and fit well. I'm a bit disappointed that they are a bit too lightweight, with a bit less support and lack the more rounded toe/sole which allowed the sole to roll forward off the toe nicely. I guess I long for the old model, but these are still nice.

Excellent sandal but falling apart
I've had timberland sandals before and my last pair lasted for more than 5 years. They were the same style with a back, arch and toe straps. I took them up hills including the Lake District and Brecons.I was very pleased with my replacements which I bought in April until this weekend (June) when I noticed the back strap about to give way. I only wear the sandals at weekends and so I'm disappointed by the quality of this pair.In sum, good comfortable sandals but poor build leaving me to have to fork out for a second pair of sandals within the same summer.

He has only worn them once and they squeeezed his toes at the front. Maybe he needs to wear them in maybe it's the design not sure unless he wears them again. We will see

Excellent Sandal but not for me
Fitted ok but there was a rough bit of strap that caught on my feet and uncomfy to wear apart from that I really liked design.

stiff to start
they are a bit stiff to start but by the end of my holiday they were worn in. only complaint is the glue has already failed where the straps meet the sole, however it looks well stitched so I don't imaging they will fail completely. Not a patch on my original O'Neil's at twice the price.however if they last as long I will give them five stars!

I too have had Timberland sandals before. My last pair lasted more than 10 years. I was reluctant to discard them long after they were ripped to bits in the tough Nigerian environment I wear them in. This pair however lasted a few months in the same environment. It was the back straps that went. I can only surmise they were not designed for tough wear and would not be buying them ever again.
