The WOWee One Slim Mini Bluetooth speaker delivers a full-bodied sound and unrivaled INCREDIBLE bass by turning surfaces into a subwoofer. The extended low frequency response of the patented Gel Audio speaker out-performs any similar size device by producing bass frequencies around 3 octaves below the low end cut-off of a traditional unit. In other words, it will blow you away! Can a traditional mini speaker deliver big bass? No. Powerful and deep bass is delivered by vibrations of air; a small speaker is very limited in the amount of air it can displace. How can the WOWee One create true full-bodied bass? The WOWee One uses patented GEL AUDIO technology to transfer vibrations from a gel packet on the back of the device onto any surface. The vibrations transform the surface into a large speaker that can displace a significant amount of air and create true powerful bass. Tables, walls, windows...anything turns into a powerful speaker! Ingenious! Is it worth the higher price? Depends. If you don't care about good bass and great sound then any cheap mini speaker will work for you. But if you want to turn heads and enjoy thumping bass from a compact and portable speaker then this is for you. We guarantee it. Key Features- Incredible bass with 40Hz ~ 20kHz- Volume Peak: 90 decibels- Lithium Ion battery with up to 10 hours life on a 30 minute charge!- Compact design that fits in your pocket- Connects to any music device via standard 3.5mm jack. Disappointed: WOWee One Cuts Corners
I had the original WOWee One speaker, and was delighted with the sound—reasonable mids and, once the speaker's gel base was placed on a surface that vibrates and amplifies the sound, the bass was surprisingly rich and deep. Unfortunately, I lost the speaker. So I went online to replace it, but found that the "Classic" model was discontinued and that a new model is now available.I watched a YouTube interview with the founder/CEO of WOWeeOne, at a launch of the new model. He talked a lot about how "slim" it is (and, compared with the old model, it is), but he seemed hesitant to actually demo it. I also noticed when he mentioned that the "Slim" model has a new speaker-driver (different from the original model) he looked a little "sheepish"—as if trying to hide something. Turns out he was . . .When I got the new model, I discovered that, indeed, the sound was not nearly as powerful or as bass-rich as the "Classic." Not only that, right out of the box the "Slim" rattles and distorts the mids and highs, even at low volume. In other words, it is not worth listening to. Too bad, because I was actually thinking of buying the wireless WOWeeOne Pro model. Instead, I'm returning the "Slim," and ordering a Jawbone Jambox (it's wireless, but much bigger than either the old or new WOWeeOne).I really wanted the "Slim" to work as well as the original WOWeeOne because it is so portable (even smaller than my iPhone!). Since the Pro has the same speaker as the "Slim,” I expect the sound from the Pro to be no better than the Slim. Because of added Bluetooth technology, the Pro is thicker than the “Slim,” and is not yet available in the U.S.—although the CEO said it would be available March, 2013 (it's now almost May!).I guess WOWeeOne compromised on sound quality just to "upgrade" to a slimmer product. Pretty absurd if you think about it: People buy speakers for the SOUND, and how a speaker looks, though important, is secondary.I hope the Jambox has reasonable bass—however, without the WOWee's gel acoustic membrane that transfers bass sound to just about any vibrating surface, I doubt the Jambox will match the great bass I enjoyed with the original WOWeeOne. Now, if only Jawbone were to launch a "gel acoustic" wireless portable speaker . . .Back to the drawing board for the WOWeeOne designers/engineeers. I hope next time they focus on sound quality and don't cut any more corners.

Great sound poor battery
Im on my second slim as my first was defective in that first one would not charge fully and would get hot like a cell does during heavy use(i dont know if this is the new norm since its smaller because i never felt heat from my old classics). i was getting 2 hours of high volume music off it until it ran out of juice. The replacement doesnt have the heat issue.. well so far not but the battery only seems to last for 5 hours of high volume. Ive had the classic model for a long time and its the better version at the moment. The slim does sound a bit better and its a wonderful size but if this means i get half the power i did with the classic im better off with that instead.also i emailed the wowee customer support over a week ago about the issues and have not heard back as of today, shame because the way the speaker works is brilliant and i just hope this idea doesnt die from a crappy company behind it.

Not so portable (charging port) But Great Product
Not to long after having it the charging port stopped working But other than that its a great product. It might be good to note I was very portable with it. Every day taking it with me.Plugging and unplugging from: Home to Car to Work, to Car and back to Home. And any other car trips I make. I used it all the time. And I did confirm it was only the charge port that stopped working. If you are going to be like me I recommend getting one of those magnetic break away charging cords for it. P.S. in my car the metal of the roof was exposed, i had it rigged up to that "with the weight of the charging cord supported" (so thats not what caused the charge port to go bad) with the cord running behind the seat... The sound on the metal roof was awesome

Portable, and decent value for the money.
If you're an audiophile and looking for top-quality sound from your skinny iPhone or iPad at any price, you may want to look elsewhere. But at around $40 I don't think you can do better in terms of a combination of portability, price, and sound quality. It has a quality look and feel, with solid build quality and useability across a number of portable devices.

A good product
The classic was better, but it was also a little bulkier. The slim has good quailty sound considering its size. I wouldn't buy this at its full retail price ($79.99). Only because the louder the volume, the more it will start to vibrate and rattle. Especially if its on a hard surface, which can get annoying. But, I found it for half its price so I'm happy with what I got.

This speaker is really nice but no bluetooth.
I think this speaker is really nice and cool. I bought it thinking it was the pro. The pro has bluetooth and a mic. I returned it and ordered the Pro.

Great Speakers
I use this for work when I have conference calls. I always have a group of people who need to listen in on the calls and everyone is always able to hear the call. The box fits easily into my laptop bag.

Brilliant Product
This little speaker is absolutely fabulous. The volume output is incredable, I used it in the office when I had to work a weekend and the bass was unbeleivable when it was placed on a window ledge. I use it with my DAB radio and the sound is comparable to an expensive sound system. Cannot recommend this highly enough.

If you have never owned a wowee speaker you will think this mini speaker is pretty ok. However - when you push it next to the original wowee one speaker - it is a poor substitute for the wowee one - and is not in the same league for both loudness and sound quality. Opt for the wowee one and prepare to be Wowed by that model

i would actually make love to this speaker if i had a 3.5 mm jack for a penis
great little speaker thought it would of been far to small for such sound it even fits in your pocket absolutely great little gadget a must have for anyone who likes to take their music on the move only qualm is you have to have a hard surface to play it on for the full effect of its sound but can easily be solved by buying one of the sound boards
