This is an excellent LED bulb, in fact, as an electrician's son I installed them throughout my entire home, many in enclosed fixtures.Go to Home Depot or Lowes, etc. and most of their bulbs by many vendors ARE NOT RATED for enclosed fixtures and could become a fire/heat hazzard or become short-lived. Sadly, ask most store associates and they will not know this information and it is often in the fine print about not using them in enclosed fixtures.LEDs are generally not said to be unsafe if not rated for enclosed fixures because they produce less heat than conventional bulbs but they are very sensitive to heat and enclosure may shorten their life span.They dim very nicely, too, but users may need to update their light switches to accomodate LEDs, otherwise, they might flicker.

I purchased this brand and model a couple of years ago at a local store and really liked them. Purchased more on Amazon because of that. The old ones start instantly when I flick the light switch. The new ones have a slight but noticeable delay before they light up. It's very obvious when old and new ones are mixed in the same fixture! The lighting per se is still just as nice as before.

Exactly as described, needed somethingfor a totally enclosed fixture and couldn't find anything locally. This works great

I purchased these for a room that was lit with 25 120w halogen bulbs. I know these are not as bright but they still light the room well. The lights are on dimmers so we don't dim them quite as much. They dim smoothly with no flicker. I also like the color temperature. 3000k is still a warm white but isn't as yellow as the 2700k leds.

I think they have been discontinued so I bought an 8 pack. A local hardware store used to carry these and I love the light they shine, bright but warm. They do not get hot and are energy savers.

I like the fact that they can be used in enclosed fixtures.

These are natural light, daylight bulbs, 3000K, just right. The 2700K bulbs have a yellowish tint; the 5000K bulbs are hospital bright. My opinion...these are the BEST LED BULBS you can buy and at the BEST PRICE! Shipping was fast and free with my $20 order.

It is becoming difficult to find LED bulbs in the warmer range at the big box stores. These are just right.
